At his home, Pierce got out of bed and went to get himself a glass of milk. When he got to the kitchen, he saw the Winter Soldier sitting at his table.
"I'm going to go, Mr. Pierce. You need anything before I leave?" Renata, his housekeeper, asked.
"No. Uh...it's fine, Renata, you can go home," Pierce told her.
"Okay, night-night," Renata said.
"Good night," Pierce returned.
She then left.
"Want some milk?" Pierce offered.
The Winter Soldier didn't answer.
"The timetable has moved. Our window is limited. Two targets, Level Six," Pierce told him.
Pierce got himself a glass of milk and sat at the table with the Winter Soldier.
"They already cost me Zola. I want confirmed death in ten hours," Pierce told him.
Renata then came back inside.
"Sorry, Mr. Pierce, I-- I forgot my phone," she told him, seeing the Winter Soldier.
"Oh, Renata. I wish you would have knocked," Pierce told her.
Pierce got the gun from the table and shot her, killing her.
"Do you still have those dreams?" Pierce asked.
The Winter Solider looked away and nodded.
"A beautiful woman telling you how much she loves you?" Pierce clarified.
The Winter Soldier nodded again.
"They're just dreams. Don't let them get in the way of the mission," Pierce commanded.
The Winter Soldier looked at Pierce and nodded in response.
