I don't keep secrets. I just keep people out of my business.

Damon's POV

Today is a very hectic day for all of us. There are people walking all over the mansion in order to organize the party which is going to be held this evening.

To be honest it looks pretty fine already considering the fact that each and every inch of the interior screams perfection.

But still, there are people working on to make a few more changes here and there since Mrs. Williams want everything perfect. As if it's even possible to make it better than it already is.

That's the reason I never prefer being around rich people. They way the flaunt their money and spend it without a care in the world. It's like us normal people cannot really blend with them. They live in a very different world from ours. A world of their own.

But now is no time to point out the differences. The guests will start arriving after two hours. I'll have to be on guard the whole time.

*****

Unlike the usual party I attend, this party seems damn boring. Even the time I was once on duty, attending the birthday party of an eight year old kid was way more interesting than this.

There is silence everywhere, even tho everyone is talking I could hear the silence.

There's no happiness when they talk to each other, no joy when they meet. Just business, pure business.

There are not much people invited here. I guess only the highly influential people are amidst.

I'm currently sitting on the bar stool keeping a watch on anyone suspicious and also on Lisa who is right in front of my line of vision standing a few feet away talking to a couple.

She looks beautiful in a silk red dress which reaches her knees. Her smooth shaved legs clearly visible. Her hourglass figure added to her features. She held a clutch in her hand and wore red high heels. Her hair tied into loose braids on either sides. She also wore blue lenses which suits her face and a bold red makeup to sum it up.

She looks my way and I mouth her "You're looking amazing." Her cheeks turn a shade of deeper red and she looks away hiding her blush while I laugh to myself.

I'm watching her for the past twenty minutes and noticed she's quite well acquainted with everyone around. She barely walks three steps towards me before being stopped and greeted by someone.

I'm sure this might not be the case with Hazel tho...
I internally groan stopping my thoughts further.

I don't know why I keep comparing the two of them. But I can't really blame myself. She's so different from Lisa.

When you see two people with totally opposite character, you can't help but compare them.
Yes I'm just curious, nothing else.

Speaking of which, Hazel isn't here. Does she not attend parties as well?

Mr. Barnes joins next to me turning the chair to the opposite way, he asks the bartender for a drink.

I suppressed the urge to ask him Hazel's whereabouts so I change the question instead. "Aren't you supposed to look after someone?" I ask trying to sound casual.

"Hazel hasn't stepped down yet, so no." He shrugged.

"Isn't it pretty late already. Should we send someone to call her down." I ask him.

He shakes his head before answering
"No one ever goes into her room. Not you, not me, not even the maids." He tone was now very seriously, which tells me he isn't joking.
