Hazel's POV
"We've got history. We'll leave first." Amaya, interrupted abruptly, dragging Frank away with her. For which, I was thankful, for some reason. Though he looked very reluctant to leave.
I, too, immediately left the hallway, walking towards my class with long strides.
I found a spot at the far end of the room, near the window, and rushed over there. I had almost reached when the room fell silent before bursting into chatters. The reason for it was obvious.
It's because His Majesty had entered.
"Who's this?"
"Have you seen him before?"
"I think I've seen him somewhere!"Regardless, I sat at my spot, ignoring the buzzing talks circulating around me.
Our eyes met when I settled and he flashed me a smile which I totally ignored by looking elsewhere.
With slow strides he casually walked up to me and leaned down, his face directly over my head while his hands were on either sides of the desk.
"Our princess runs pretty fast huh?" He whispered straight into my ears giving me a tickling sensation all over my body.
Once again, the room roared to life but I didn't bother. I was dumbstruck at the moment whereas I'm sure no one heard him, they were simply shocked to see us communicating.
"Why are you sitting right next to me?" I hissed at him in a low whisper when I got back to my senses.
He smiled at me innocently, as if he didn't just act like that a few moments ago, before answering. "Well, should I book a flight to Antarctica and sit next to an iceberg?"
As if giving it a thought, he added. "Though the coldness is something you'd both have in common."
This guy honestly! I clicked my tongue hard and clenched my fist unknowingly. I got up from my seat pushing past him in order to leave. But as soon as I took a step, a hard shoulder bumped into mine, making me stumble.
I was caught off guard and before I could react or respond to it, a pair of hands caught my arms, steadying me on my foot.
I tilted my head upwards and found Damon's face really close to mine. So close, I could trace out his freshly shaved jaw. His hands still held me tightly and I could feel the warmth of his body against my back and my arms, tensing my body at once.
But he didn't seem to notice as his eyes narrowed at someone with a frown. I followed his gaze and my eyes landed on a familiar face.
Ah! Of course, it had to be her.
Helen looked at me with indifference and spoke nonchalantly. "Watch where you're going, Williams."
She said it so calmly as if she didn't just do that on purpose. I threw my head up and rolled my eyes only to find Damon frowning deeper.
Oh no. This is not good!
"Excuse me! You..." I immediately cut Damon off mid speech.
"I'm sorry, Helen. I forgot you are blind and was too careless." I put on a fake smile before continuing. "Don't worry I'll be extra careful next time."
Some people snickered hearing this which made Helen frown. She grit her teeth throwing me a glare. But before she could say something back Prof. Addison entered the class in his usual bored manner.
