I stood their looking at him in shock wit the door still halfway open not really wanting to let him in. He was just smilin at me but I was still confused as to why he was here, and so early at that.
Court: U gone let me in?(he laughed)
Shawn: Oh..uh yea.(i said opening the door) What u doin here?
Court: Damn is that the first question u ask I cant even get a hug?(he said smilin)
I walked over to him, and gave him a hug accidentally inhaling his cologne. Damn I forgot how good he smell, and how good it felt when he hugged me.
Court: Damn I forgot how good u smell.(he smiled)
Shawn: Nigga what do u want?(i said smilin pushin him off me)
Court: I just came over to say happy birthday, and see how u been.(he said sittin down on the couch)
Shawn: Thanks and I been good what about u?
Court: I cant complain. How things goin wit u and ya boy Que?
Shawn: Everything koo. What about u and yo lil boo, whats his name?
Court: Lawrence, and its iight. We only been talkin for about 2 months now. I dont know if im feelin him like that though. I mean he koo and all I just dont feel that connection u know.
Shawn: I understand, how yo mama doing?
Court: She actually just asked me about u before I left the crib. She told me to tell her "baby" Happy birthday.(he said makin a funny face)
Shawn: Dont hate because she still like me.(i laughed)
Court: Whatever man sometimes I think she like yo ass better than me.
Shawn: Well I got that affect on people.
Court: Yea u do.(he said lookin me in the eyes)
There was this awkward silence for a minute until I changed the subject.
Shawn: So whats yo plans after graduation?
Court: Im still thinkin about goin back down south, but I dont know yet though.
Shawn: Why not?
Court: U want me to be honest.
Shawn: After all the lies, and s***t there was between the both of us I would hope so.
He got up off the couch, and walked towards me. I didnt know what to do so I just stood there as my heart rate increased the closer he got to me.
Court: Because when I leave u wont be comin wit me. I miss u shawn. I miss u being my shawty, and wakin up in my arms every mornin.
Shawn: Courtney please stop.(i said placin my hand on his chest to push him back)
He grabbed me hand and pulled me into a tight embrace wrappin his arms around my waist.
Court: I know u miss me too or u wouldve pushed me off by now.(he said lookin down at me)
Shawn: u right, I do miss u but we not together for a reason Court.
Court: I know we had some problems, but we had some good times too. Dont make it seem like everything was all bad all the time.
Shawn: Im not sayin that, but it didnt work for a reason.
Court: That still dont take away from the fact that I miss u shawty.
Shawn: Court please dont complicate this for me. Im just now gettin to a point where im really happy wit my self, and my relationship.
Court: Why I gotta be a complication though, and why u couldnt feel that way wit me.
Shawn: Because being wit u taught me a lot, and I learned from my mistakes.
Court: So I was a mistake?(he said lettin me go)
Shawn: Dont twist my words, and dont make this an arguement. I love u Courtney and I always will, but im in love wit Que.
Court: I know, and im sorry shawty. I wouldnt disrespect u by puttin u in a situation like this again. I just regret ever breakin up wit u instead of workin it out like we shouldve done.
Shawn: Everything happens for a reason though, and this was just one of those things.
Court: I guess u right, but we can still be friends right?
Shawn: Of course we can. I never wanted u to be out of my life Court.
Court: I can live wit that then. Let me get outta here though before I say f***k it, and rape yo lil ass.(he laughed)
Shawn: Que would f***kin kill u.
Court: He could try.
I walked him to the door giving him a hug, and a kiss on the cheek before he left. He kiss my forehead holdin me a little longer, and tighter. As soon as he opened the door Que was standin right there fumblin wit his keys holdin a lot of bags. He looked up and saw Court then his focus shifted to me. I was so damn nervous, but proud of my baby because he played it koo.
Que: Wussup court I aint seen u in a minute.
Court: I know man I been layin low. I just came over here to wish shawty a happy birthday, but i'll catch u later fam. Happy birthday again shawn.(he said walkin down the stairs)
Shawn: Thanks Court.(i said wavin and takin some of the bags Que was holdin)
I went inside the house wit the bags to sit em down as he went back to the car to get the rest. I was tryna brace my self, and prepare to be cursed the f***k out when he finally got settled. He really surprised me though when he came in and swooped me up kissing me all over my face.
Shawn: So u not mad?(i said lookin confused)
Que: Should I be?
Shawn: Well no, but u not even gone ask?
Que: Nope cuz I dont care. U still here so it must mean whatever he did didnt work, or either he really just came to say happy birthday.
I was so speechless all I could do was smile, and kiss him wit so much passion it could start a fire. I swear he just keeps provin to me everyday that I made the right choice.
