It took a while for the crowd to process the announcement that you have been disqualified by the R-rated hero. In fact, it was harder to process regarding on what led to your disqualification in the first place. Your attempt of a crime; your intention to kill.
It was now the awarding ceremony.
The two unconscious participants were long gone from the arena, with only one of them returning for first place, but the crowd couldn't find the sense in them to do anything other than ponder over your performance you've shown today. Your personality, your attempt, your power-- the things you have displayed gave mixed opinions. It didn't make it any lighter now that it was shown live all over Japan.
And to say that if Bakugou didn't take the news lightly... was uncertain. He didn't give out any reaction at all.
In the infirmary, after Midnight explained to Bakugou of the circumstance, he remained indifferent. He was told everything-- how he was driven unconscious with one swipe of your attack; what you aimed to do right after, and how All MIght and Eraserhead got involved. At first, his face had clear shock, glancing at your unconscious form once or twice, but then it molded into an expression of nonchalance. It was truly worrying, considering that the staffs of Yuuei who know of the ash blonde's personality would expect childish tantrums from him. Instead, they received nothing of the sort. Perhaps he was saving his anger once he faces you, so he could vent it all out.
However, the emotions in his crimson eyes didn't give any indications of how he felt about the issue at all. There was zero hostility. Bakugou was just standing there on the first placer template with an aloof expression. After hearing the devastating story of his final match, the teachers thought they'd have to chain him to a post to prevent him from lashing out. Fortunately, Bakugou gave no signs of animosity; so, they didn't have to.
Along with him, on the second-placer template was Todoroki and Shinsou. With no loser from the final match, the judges decided on using the participants who made it through the semi-finals. Despite their usual calm demeanor, everyone knows that there ought to be some thoughts running in their heads regarding their common friend: you.
Todoroki was with his usual poker face, staring at the quiet crowd with an unreadable expression. No one vibrated any of that cheery atmosphere for the winners, almost as if this was a funeral; not a celebration. He knew you were dangerous. Ever since your face-off with the Noumu, and the cavalry battle when his flames lit up, he knew his instincts detected absolute danger. The bi-haired was quite too observant for his age-- an admirable trait, nonetheless. He could've detected you as a threat and maintained distance, provided that he witnessed what you're capable of. But... He didn't judge the power; he judged the possessor of that power. And what he saw in you was nothing but a good-spirited personality.
Shinsou, however, was a different story. He didn't see what Todoroki saw; mainly because he never faced your raw power. Hell, he never got a taste of your quirk when you trained with him, and Todoroki had already fought you in the Battle Trial on the second day of class. Nevertheless, he knew you for years. You were a good classmate and friend. He knew better than to judge one act before knowing the whole context; after all, that is one of the factors that leads to misunderstanding.
In the end, the two second-placers concluded that you're innocent until proven guilty. And they'll make their decision once they've heard both sides of the story.
Now, standing on the third-placer template was Monoma. With him being your second round opponent, he was put on third-place, as if he won it. Monoma was fully aware he didn't earn this position. However, because of your stunt, the winner templates became more diverse from different classes: two 1-A students, one general studies student, and of course, himself: a 1-B student. But he knew he's not supposed to be standing here with the rest of the winners. Dare he even say it, that they didn't need a third-placer, because by putting Monoma here is against the title of "Winners". And yet, here he is.
