Chapter 7

        "WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP THEM, ALL MIGHT?!"

"I apologize, Recovery Girl--"

"DON'T APOLOGIZE TO ME!" The healing hero exclaimed, then followed it with her seemingly boundless scoldings.

It wasn't that long when the combat training ended, which made All Might eventually visit Izuku... And when he did, the blonde was greeted with Recovery Girl's harsh approach regarding the whole incident. At the very least, the yelling ceased, as the super-nurse reprimanded All Might about how irresponsible he was for sending his disciple in the clinic three times, on a normal voice volume. You all know it was not entirely his fault, but still, it's his responsibility and duty to, at least, care about Midoriya's progression of becoming a hero both mentally and physically.

You no longer paid attention to their conversation, knowing how rude it was to eavesdrop; instead, you gave your entire regard to your best friend who was hooked with wires that leads to IVs and various other medical supports. Seeing the state he's in made tears subconsciously well up in your (e/c) eyes, but managed to keep it in, for the sake of staying strong for your good friend.

'Damn, Bakugou... Do you really hate Izuku that much..?', You asked yourself, questioning of what Midoriya did to deserve such treatment from the ash blonde. And some unpremeditated thoughts wandered in your head too; wondering what would happen if you were to be paired with Izuku in that test... Would you end up in the same condition that Midoriya is currently facing too?

The thought of Katsuki thrashing you around like a ragged doll made your body involuntarily shiver, resulting for your hand to slowly make its way on your scarred cheek, hidden by your (h/c) hair-- somewhat trying to suppress your hidden fear of him. But it's not like you'd admit you're afraid of Katsuki. Or at least, out loud, you won't admit it.

Knitting your eyebrows together, you can't seem to piece Katsuki's intentions together. Or maybe...

He's just a bad person, and that's all there is to it.

No, you can't just conclude it at that without solid proof. You liked him; you were friends with him for a reason. He can't just simply dedicate his life making a certain person miserable with no cause-- it didn't even have to be a good reason, knowing Katsuki. If you could just know what irked Bakugou so much, then maybe you can fix something about it. And hopefully, resolve it.

You adverted your focus back at the two adults, staring at their distressed figures. Even if you were a few meters away, you could hear the old lady sigh at the number one hero's specific statement.

"Is it really that important to be 'The Symbol of Peace'? You've gained nothing beneficial from it, ever since you've earned that title. In fact, you... you made a lot of sacrifices for everyone's sake," Recovery Girl remarked, making All Might reciprocate with a sigh.

"Without such a symbol, this society of superhumans would fall to evil," Then the two perked up once they heard your voice, almost forgetting that you were there too.

"But would they, really...?" You spoke up, not even lifting your head to make eye-contact. "Would the public's morals really depend on one recognition? On one person? You can't possibly hoard in all that duty; there are people out there who will try to bring you down, and by doing that, it would create such havoc among the people. Shouldn't you at least take it easy?" Despite saying this on a soft tone that meant well, it left a bitter taste on the number one hero's tongue.

"I can never take it easy. You don't understand, (L/n)-san. I'm here to leave an example-- to influence the people in our society. As to while I'm aware that there are people after me, it would be inevitable as long as I'm a hero," All Might defended half-heartedly. "Such is the responsibility of he who holds this power!"
