"If you don't stop what you're doing, I won't be able to forgive you, Kacchan!"

The park was silent after the loud declaration, seeming to take in the voice's echo, as a greenette stood in front of another child-- arms wide to seemingly to protect him. Merely a moment has passed, before an ash blonde punched his own palm, emitting a small explosion to intimidate the freckled boy. Terrified jade eyes looked at aggressive ruby ones, the tension only intensifying, as (h/c) eyes stared at the situation before her.

Midoriya Izuku was the name of the brave boy, as to while Bakugou Katsuki was the designation for the explosive blonde. You know these names due to the fact that you were once a friendly group, until things started turning the fire red-eyed male against the greenette.

"Then I bet you're more than willing to take the hits, Deku," Bakugou smirked at the thought of beating Midoriya, with his two other friends--his replacements for you and Izuku.

"H-hey! You can't use your quirk against others! That's--That's not allowed!" You finally spoke up, tears threatening to spill from your frightened form, as the blonde scoffed while his two jocks behind him snickered.

"Hey Deku, you willing to let Battery here defend for you? You really are a deku, huh, Deku?" You've heard that insult so many times, and hearing it again sickens you to no end. Where did the Kacchan, you and Midoriya used to know, went to? "Now die!" With his last exclamation, he sprinted towards Midoriya in full speed with the other two boys behind him, his palm arched back to effectively put a blow at the green-haired boy's face.

Panicked, you launched yourself in front of Izuku, holding both your hands out-- wishing that you calculated his moves right and would hopefully hit your palms instead. If you could just absorb his explosions, no one will get hurt. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case that you hoped that would happen.

Feeling your head unwillingly face towards the side, and the force pushing you to the ground, you had already concluded what just happened with the stinging pain you felt on your cheek. Bakugou had just hit you with his quirk.

Knees on the ground, your shaky hand slowly made its way to your cheek, only for you to retract it back from the stinging pain. It was probably the emitted explosion from Katsuki's hand that made your cheek's inner skin expose itself. Despite the pain, you sucked in a deep breath, before facing Midoriya.

"Are you alright, Izu-kun?" You asked with a smile, along with saying his nickname. At times like this, Izuku had always admired your way of seeming fine even if evidently, you're not. It reminded him of All Might-- the hero who smiles through such devastating and problematic situations, while saving people at the same time. He thought that you'd make a cool hero.

Midoriya did nothing but nod as his answer to your question, while you stretched your already big smile to reassure him further-- even if your cheek's pained nerves were against it.

Standing up, you dusted dirt off your clothes before facing Bakugou's awe-stricken face-- his friends' no different. But you could've sworn hidden in those eyes was one of regrets and panic.

"It's okay. It was an accident," You stated, hands behind your back. With your pose like that, you almost seemed too innocent for your own good. "I can just ask my mom to patch me up, and say I tripped and hit my face on a motorcycle's hot engine and got bur--" You went speechless once Bakugou got a hold of your shirt's collar, raising you as high as he could, as you struggled to get off his grip. Clawing, retracting, punching-- you tried everything you could do to break his hold on you, except for using your possibly lethal quirk that you have yet to get used to.

Giving up, you stopped your useless struggles, and tried to calm down, only to see your reflection in his eyes, and what you saw from your small self is nothing but fear-- you were trembling; afraid. But why would you be afraid? Kacchan would never hurt you, you thought. That was just an accident; nothing intentional.

"That was no accident." He announced, basically crushing your previous thoughts about him... or at least, what used to be him. "I was aiming for a face and it just happened to be yours!" He exclaimed, before letting you drop on the ground, but with the help of Midoriya's reflexes, your back thankfully didn't get to touch the soil.

"Let this be a lesson to the two of you-- the next time you get in my way, I will end you!"

This was when Midoriya-kun learned that all men are not equal, at the age of four. He concluded that because of the existence of quirks, the anomaly that made a drastic line between the strong and the weak. And when he found out that he didn't have one, he was... devastated. He immediately thought that he could never be what he aspired to be-- a hero.

A lot of people told him to give up his dream, and simply admire heroes from afar. Even his own mother, but... there was a reason why he kept going. Someone just simply believed in him.

"Do you think I can still be a hero, (Y/n)..?"

"Of course, Izu-kun! You will be an amazing hero, and I don't need a prediction quirk to know that!"

Those were the only words of encouragement he needed to continue pursuing his dream. That simple statement was enough for him to lean on his support-- you.

Lol yes, I'm a rulebreaker-- I won't be following the exact dialogues. Also, check the description for additional info about the harem in this story ^^

Also, yes this is too long for a prologue but I can't think of shorter ways. But I guess, it is kinda short compared to ACTUAL chapters. This has 900+ words (A/N not included), but my chapters usually range from 1500-2000+ and occasionally, 3000+

Pls enjoy x33
