"So, your match is next, huh?" Shinsou drawled out, before taking a sip out of his cold glass of water, which the clinic graciously provided for the both of you. "And it's against that blonde idiot. I wish you luck," The indigo-haired lad woke up not too long ago as soon as Recovery Girl exited the clinic to handle matters under her responsibility; probably to clarify your condition to the referee, Midnight.

But then, you got reminded that Todoroki suffered some damage too, and made you wonder where he was. As Shuzenji (Recovery Girl) had explained, he was already up and good, causing for him to return back to your classmates. And you were glad that he wasn't that much hurt as you expected.

"Heh, thanks," You chuckled out, before taking in a sip of your own glass, taking in one of its ice cubes just to crush it under your molars, out of pure boredom, before swallowing it as melted water. "I'm glad you didn't take in too much damage from him, though. Otherwise, I'd give that rampaging moron the ultimate beat down." You threatened, not entirely serious; in fact, it was some sort of bluff. But then again, whether Shinsou got hurt or not, you ought to do your best to defeat your blonde childhood friend.

"Woah, watch it, 'Destructinator', before your own threat backfires on you instead," The male student joked rather sarcastically, before snickering, which eventually died down. "But... do you think my standing is enough to get transferred to the hero department..?" Shinsou looked at you with discreet hopeful eyes, as you thought about what he said.

It would be really reasonable if he got transferred; after all, he defeated some of your classmates in less than one minute..! But then again, it's not just about quirks; how you use them in a fight is also accounted for the consideration of transferring. Although, that's what the department of heroes was about, right? To train students to use their quirks to its fullest.

And honestly, Shinsou was no exception from that.

Looking at the lad's sullen look with a smile, you told him what he wished to hear.

"I think you did more than enough. I look forward on being your classmate..!" His crest-fallen look faded into a small grin, before turning away, rubbing the back of his nape, as his ears glowed a light shade of pink.

"T-thanks..." He managed to utter out, a bit flustered.

        Then, Shinsou noticed.

What he felt for you? It wasn't just a small crush; he was too attached to you, perhaps enough to consider it... love? Now don't get him wrong, he's not one to romanticize; it's quite the opposite.

But after having to stand up for him, speak for him, support him-- things that not a lot of people would do for him throughout all those years, he noticed you did a lot for him; more than he can count. Sure, you can be pushy and sometimes a bit annoying, but he was appreciative of you, enough to overlook those traits. You were pushy, but for good intentions; you were annoying, but you were entertaining.

And at this point, him loving you wasn't as far-fetched as he originally thought, because he had a lot of reasons to do so.

Then that would explain why he reacted with distaste towards the unnamed blonde that he saw you with earlier.

"Yo, Shinsou, ever wondered why iced water is better than regular water?" You asked suddenly out of the blue, causing for the boy to snap out of his trance, before looking at you with a bewildered expression.

"Huh? Why..?" Despite being perplexed by the question, he participated anyway...

And regretted it as soon as a smirk made its way to your amused face; just holding in fits of giggles from whatever stupidity you're about to say next.
