Midoriya's vision was blurred, as he looked ahead; the exit meeting his clouded sight. He struggled, he resisted, he panicked, but nothing worked to his favor; nothing made his body move back to his will-- it was all under Shinsou's command now, and he can't do anything about it. The greenette scolded himself for letting his guard down negligently; he should've observed Shinsou's capabilities when he had the chance!
The greenette's defeat was going to be pathetically easy. He made it this far; even placed high, but his recklessness was what caught him in the web that he couldn't break free from.
But then, as if like hope lit itself up, he saw nine pairs of eyes at the tunnel gate, watching his walking figure waddle its way towards them. Each pair looked at him, as if they were judging him, but one's expression was out of place compared to the rest.
It looked... sad.
Suddenly, he felt his fingers again; something was aiding it to move-- it was the former users of One For All. They were guiding him by having to activate One For All for the freckled boy. Even if their bodies were all just silhouettes; even if he can't see their faces, their presence just feels so familiar. Their spirits somehow managed to link themselves to his own spirit-- the power they all shared was being activated for him.
Just one strike on the ground was all he needed. Just one.
But he failed to do so.
The glow of his index and mid fingers dulled, as soon as one of the pairs of eyes disappeared, and just like that, the link was broken. And Izuku was left to fend for himself; alone.
"HAAAHHH?!!" Present Mic's shriek of astonishment rang around the stadium, as the crowd gawked on how a Class 1-A student was defeated by a general studies student. It was... unexpected.
Even though Shinsou was aware of his victory from the moment his quirk activated on his opponent, he just felt like the moment, he was waiting for, feels so... surreal. A dream come true would always feel peculiar, but this was indeed reality.
"Midoriya Izuku is out of bounds! Shinsou Hitoshi moves to the second round!" With Midnight's declaration, the indigo-haired lad finally acknowledged that his victory really did happen. The cheers of the crowd for his name only solidified that fact further. He was now sure that his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. What he once dreamed of is finally happening; his dream is now his reality.
He never felt so alive! But...
Why did something feel so wrong?

"This is what I was trying to warn you about!" Shuzenji (Recovery Girl) scolded, as she pointed at your out-cold state, only highlighting the fact in Yagi's memories vividly. "You should've told her a long time ago! Did you seriously wait until something like this would happen?!"
All Might's emaciated form only listened to the nursing hero berating, having to look guiltily at his daughter from time to time. It was a painful sight to see, for sure. He wasn't so used to this, at all.
"Sorry..." Was all the blonde hero could utter out in the moment, which only made Recovery Girl fume all the more.
"You should apologize to her! Not me!" The number one hero just looked down in response, giving off a sigh, as his eyes were casted down on the ground from sheer guilt. Chiyo calmed down when she received that given reaction, her glare softening into an understanding gaze. In the end, she understood why Yagi was so hesitant about all of this. It wasn't easy to balance the responsibilities of being a Symbol of Peace and a parent, let alone how to break it to their child. "Being a father isn't easy, I'll be frank with you on that,” Recovery Girl admitted, before continuing her point. “But (Y/n) doesn't deserve to suffer because of your fears. It may take time to heal, but no matter what happens, you're still her father; she can never deny that. This is the least you could do for her as of now..."
