It had only been a week, but Midoriya had broken all his fingers twice. He was frequently in and out of the infirmary, usually being accompanied by Tenya Iida, the boy who had called him out in the entrance exam but he'd later became friends with, Uraraka or Baukgou. Midoriya had been pleasently surprised by Bakugou's sudden change of heart. While there was still the good old Bakugou in there, he had noticeable softened more towards Midoriya. He didn't want to say anything, but it had started to bug Midoriya how he was 'no longer an exception' to Bakugou's competitive wrath.
He shrugged it off as he stared up at the male who was walking him to the infirmary. "Slow down on your quirk a little, Recovery Girl won't be able to keep up. I know you can't control it because it's late, but geez!" Bakugou chewed him out the whole way there, stopping and blushing when Midoriya merely giggled. He grumbled to himself and carried on walking to the recovery bay.
Ah yes, the late manifestation of his quirk. It had been an on-the-spot excuse and it had hurt Midoriya to lie, but as Bakugou believed him, he thought it would be OK. He was shielding him from the truth that would surely ruin any friendship they had. He sighed and just stated up at Bakugou fondly, his gay crush still madly overtaking his other feelings.
He could sense it and so could Bakugou. A warm feeling when they were together. A warmth that flooded through their veins and made them happy. He giggled softly again, drawing attention to himself and realising, too late, Bakugou had caught him staring at him and their eyes met.
The roughness and aggressiveness that usually clouded Bakugou's crimson gaze was gone, replaced by a soft resting face. He tilted his head, his scowl being wiped off his face and a smirk to appear.
"Take a photo, it will last longer." He chuckled, raising an eyebrow as he saw Midoriya pull his phone out slowly. He laughed easily, "I'll just send you one after school. C'mon, let's get you to Recovery Girl." He rolled his eyes as he picked the shorter green-haired boy up so that he could get there faster.Bakugou heard a tiny squeak from Midoriya as he was picked up, making his heart do a summersalt in his chest at how cute the noise sounded. He stared at Midoriya, half-wanting him to make the noise again. It was music to his ears as he found it adorable. Heck, he found all of Midoriya's little noises adorable.
At last, they made it to the medical bay and Bakugou had to wait outside for Midoriya to be healed. It wasn't that long and Bakugou only played on his phone anyway, but when Midoriya came out fully-healed he smiled and half-hugged him with one arm. He grinned at the shorter male.
"Better?"
"Better. Let's get back to lesson."
Midoriya beamed up at him, holding his hand and starting to drag him back to their lesson. He could feel his heart pumping quicker at the close contact and blushed, seeing Midoriya's face flush a red colour.
"Oh my God, he's adorable..." Bakugou murmured under his voice, unaware Midoriya had heard it and was blushing more.
"You think I'm adorable?" He asked, stopping outside a bathroom and looking up at Bakugou with wide eyes.
For once, Bakugou was flustered.
"U-Uhm, no! I was talking about someone else in this corridor?" It sounded more like a question, so that was suspicious on it's own, but Midoriya was quick to point out they were the only ones in the entire corridor.
'Shit.' Bakugou thought, biting his lip as he tried to think of an escape this time round.
