Chapter 45

"Deku! Get your ass down here!" Bakugou barked up the stairwell before they left the school grounds. The students walking up and down the stairs glanced at the two and, knowing Bakugou's reputation, quickly carried on walking. Izuku had gone to Recovery Girl to see if she could do anything for his eye, which she could. He was muttering as he walked down the stairs towards Katsuki, his black eye fully gone.
He looked tired though and as he reached the ash-blonde he leaned into his chest, tapping his chin as he kept talking to himself.
"Deku? Your doing that weird shot where you talk to yourself again." Bakugou growled, waiting for Midoriya to stop. He didn't, so he lightly cuffed him round the head. "STOP MUTTERING GODDAMMIT!"
Midoriya stopped at this, jumping and staring up at Bakugou apologetically. "S-Sorry Kacchan! I-It's a habi-"
"Yeah, yeah whatever. Just hurry up." He grabbed the smaller boy's hand and started to pull him out of the school.

(TIME SKIP TO HOURS LATER)

The blonde dragged the green into the streets, making sure he was close by. He would not have a repeat of yesterday. He could hear his Deku asking a few questions, as they weren't headed in a direction commonly used, but Bakugou didn't budge in speaking. He cracked a smile though, picking Midoriya up so that they could get to the place faster. He hurried along until he finally reached the spot he was heading for, placing Izuku down.
"Kacchan! Move your hands!" Izuku squeaked. They'd gotten to a field behind some of the houses, but before Midoriya could look around his vision had gone dark.
"Shh! This is supposed to be romantic." Bakugou grumbled, glad that Midoriya couldn't see his deep blush. On the contrary, Midoriya wasn't hiding his at all.
"R-Romantic?? Who have you been taking advice from?"
There was a short pause until Midoriya guessed, "Ashido?" Bakugou fell silent and the green-haired boy giggling lightly.
"Shut up, nerd.." he grumbled, hugging Midoriya from behind and dropping his hands from his eyes. In front of Izuku stood a large tree, glittering with fairy lights and fireflies. His eyes widened in wonder at the beautiful sight in front of him, the stars shining brightly in the sky to add to the effect.
Bakugou stood behind him with a large grin as Midoriya walked closer to the tree. The trunk seemed to sparkle in the moonlight, making the small clearing the tree was in look magical and pretty. The taller came up behind him, bowing slightly and holding out his hand.
"Care to dance?" He smiled, pulling Izuku closer as he took his hand. He pulled out his phone, opening up the music and pressing the 'play' button. He placed the phone down and kissed the shorter's cheek before starting to dance around the tree. Neither boys had any coordination or idea on how to dance, so they just ended up laughing and spinning eachother around.
At the end of the song, they flopped on their backs, laying in the grass under the gleaming tree. Both were laughing and chatting hushly, almost like they wanted to keep their time there just to themselves. Their secret. Midoriya thought it was completely wonderful.
"Deku," Bakugou stood up, reaching for Izuku's hand to help him up. He faced him, leaning their heads together gently as he spoke. "You know I find you absolutely fucking adorable and love you a heck ton, right?" He got a nod and a small giggle as a response, "Well, I wanted to give you something to show it." He fumbled with something in his pocket before pulling out a little box and handing it to Midoriya.
Inside the box was a little green bracelet, red intertwining with it. The shades were just right so that they worked well together and there was little beads woven into it. Izuku's blush only increased.
"K-Kacchan it's... it's beautiful! Thank you so much!" He nearly knocked the blonde off of his feet with the force of the hug he gave. Bakugou chuckled, his face bright red.
"Yeah, yeah.. I guess that pink thing has good ideas sometimes." He smiled, though tried to hide it. He was mostly trying to hide how very happy he was to see Izuku enjoying himself.
"Kacchan?"
"Yeah?"
"You're amazing. I hope you know that." Midoriya gently booped their noses together, giggling sweetly.
A smile spread across Bakugou's face, though he managed to keep some of his usual scowl in his features.
"Me? Nah. You are the star of the show here, Deku."
