It was said long ago that if you wish upon a Falling Star, your wish will come true. Well, there's a catch, only one, out out Ten thousand falling stars hold that power. So if you're lucky, you'll get that wish granted. Who am kidding?! Why am I saying this?! 'Sigh' it's just a myth.
Glen couldn't believe it, his own mother took off for another man. She just left her husband and sixteen year old son, for a jerk, who left his wife for Glen's mother. So what do you do? When everything falls apart? Apparently you run away. At least that's what Glen was doing.
Glen kicked a pebble as he walked down an unsavory alley. He stopped walking and stared up, intently at the night sky. Suddenly he saw a star in the sky, only it was....blinking? It suddenly fell, he watched in amusement as it fell suddenly remembering a story his mother told him a long time ago, about wishing upon a Star. He laughed in mockery and silently made a wish. "I wish things could be....different for me." The star blinked once more and disappeared. Suddenly he felt very drowsy and stumbled backwards and fell on his backside as he cried out in fear. Searing pain ripped through his body and he fell completely on his back, his blonde hair now had mud in it and he became stiff and motionless in the dark alley. His vision became blurred and he felt cold. Black spots filled his already blurry vision and he blacked out.
An old woman approached Glen and he started to back up, she pointed at him with a gnarled finger and said, "To bring out the light in others, you must first fight the darkness in yourself." "To be able to help others forgive, you must first forgive the people who hurt you." Then the woman slowly vanished into thin air with the words, "forgiving is the key to peace..."
Glen shot up in cold sweat and gasped as he felt all over his body and sighed in relief when he felt that he was still alive. He looked around and wondered what he was on. It almost looked like a table. He heard a loud 'Thump' and whirled around to find himself staring into huge green eyes, and scooted back to realize that he was staring at a Giant boy.
He screamed. He screamed and shoved himself away from the boy, only to fall off the table and plunged downwards to the hard floor. But the floor never came. He hit a warm and soft surface and pushed himself up and stared at what he had landed on. He began to sweat as he realized he had landed on the boys hand. He struggled to stand as the boy's fingers curled around him.
He had claustrophobia, (To those who don't know what that is, it's fear of small, closed spaces) and a fear of heights. Not a good combination if your four inches tall.
"Hey, it's alright, I'm not gonna hurt you."
Glen flinched at his loud voice and paid no attention to what he had said, and cowered under his gaze. He wrapped his arms around himself and started crying. "What is going on?! I'm gonna die! Is this a nightmare?! It has to be!"
Gage stared at the tiny human in his hand, he had blonde hair, and big blue eyes that unfortunately, were filled with tears. He felt guilty as the human cowered away from him when he spoke.
But Gage didn't know what to do, or say, something like this had never happened before. He had just gone outside to take out the trash when he saw a boy his age fall backwards in the alley. He watched in complete and utter shock as the boy shrunk down to about four inches. He couldn't just leave him out there. So he gently took him inside his house, and up to his room and laid him on his nightstand. Then a little bit later, he woke up and now here he was.
Gage had his hand around the blonde teen and he looked completely and utterly terrified of him. He mentally slapped himself as he realized he had just scared him even more. He turned around and gently set the blonde teen on his bed and sat on the floor, a good distance away from him and folded his hands in his lap, and stared intently at the teen waiting to see what he would do.
Glen stumbled around as he found himself standing ....... "On a bed..?" He thought as he looked up at the boy. Only then did he really get to see the boys features, he had sharp green eyes, blonde hair that hung around his face, square-ish black glasses. Glen suddenly realized, it wasn't a boy at all. It was the worst possible person to have found him at this size.
A Teenager.
