A Strawberry Gets Picked

Hey everyone! My deepest apologies for not writing in Such a long time. I'm working on so much stuff right now its hard to get away and write.
But anyway, this is a story of a Neko girl and Wolf Hybrid boy. I hope you enjoy it!

STRAWBERRY^

Strawberry crouched in the darkest corner of her cage. Her frail arms wrapped around her thin form as she shivered violently. Her tail clung to her legs and her ears laid flat against her head. Her dark brown eyes held fear as Giant employees stomped carelessly around the pet shop, getting ready to open for the day.

The door opened and a bell rung, signaling that the shop had a customer. Strawberry squeaked and curled into a ball as people started coming and looking in all the cages.

As the day went on people glanced her direction but didn't stop to look very long. They didn't want a boring pet that sat in a corner. They wanted a pet that would play, and do things.

Her eyes darted to the clock that hung on the wall, 5:50. Ten minutes till closing time. She sighed, she was still here. She didn't want to leave. She heard stories of the Neko's that were bought and then killed by a small child or another pet. She shivered at the thought, she didn't want to be one of them.

She closed her eyes and started to relax.

Then she heard the bell.

Her eyes shot open. Another customer? It was nearly closing time!

She jumped to her feet and peeked between the bars of her cage. A tall boy had entered, he stood about six feet, five inches tall. He wore a black jacket and had the hood up so she couldn't see his face very well. He was looking at the fish when his head jerked towards her and his gaze locked with hers.

She gasped and let out a squeak as she ran back to her corner and hid.

After a few minutes of hearing nothing she slowly crawled towards the front of her cage. She didn't see him anymore. She glanced sideways and shrieked then ran back to her corner.

He was standing next to her cage, towering over it, staring into it. Staring at her.

Arrow watch the Neko Girl with curiosity. She looked to be about his age, fifteen. Maybe fives inches tall. Her dark brown hair  with strawberry colored highlights, flowed from her head down her shoulders to her hips. Her skin was a light tan color and her eyes were big and brown.

She looked adorable.

Then she shrieked.

He jumped back a little but smiled as she ran and hid in a corner.

He got down on his knees so he could see her better, she was sitting in a corner hiding her face in her arms.

She was perfect.

He stood quietly and went the front desk.

Strawberry waited a few more minutes before peeking around, he was actually gone this time. She sighed and closed her eyes. Suddenly she was yanked out of her cage by a cold hand. She screamed and kicked but it didn't do anything. Suddenly she saw the boy again, standing by the front desk watching her. Then it hit her.

He bought her.

The employee holding her, threw her in a smaller cage and pointed at the boy, "Please take your hood off, I'm required to see a person's face before selling them a pet."

The boy grimaced and reached up, Pulling his hood off.

He had rectangular black glasses, White blonde hair that hung slightly in his face, sea green eyes and a few freckles on his cheeks. But what made her heart stop beating was his ears. Two gray wolf ears stuck up off the top of his head.
