It was a week after I got discharged from the hospital and already things seemed better. my dad was talking with me more about my problems and things im feeling, kankri isnt just talking with me but also actually spending time with me and watching movies. i was going out with my friends and going over to sollux's more.
with me feeling better i decided it was time to ask eridan out. with all my rom com experience i thought i wouldn't feel this scared but I'm terrified. walking up to his house was like walking up to a sleeping bear. i knocked on the door and waited, dualscar opened the door
"karkat, what a surprise"
" hi mr ampora, uh is eridan in?"
" he is... " he looks at me and smirks " why?"
"oh uh i just wanted to uh....hang out with him today"
" mmm hmm" he chuckles, calling eridan down
eridan sees me and smiles, rushing over to the door
"hey karkat! what are you doing here?"
"hey uh, i was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out today. go see a movie and that sorta thing"
he blushes " like a date?"
i go bright red and start stuttering, holy fuck this is smooth
".....yes?"
he smiles " are you actually asking me out right now?"
i gulp "m...maybeeee"
he chuckles and smiles more " let me just get my things ok?"
" o..ok!" i cant believe me being a complete goof fucking worked
