[EDITING FROM HERE TO THE EPILOGUE]

I glanced at the clock, the time reading 5:42. I grabbed my satchel, stuffing some cash and my phone into it as I ran downstairs to grab my keys. "Goin' to see Ev, huh?" Zoe asked, appearing from behind me. I turned to face her, a devilish smirk on her face.

"I was planning on going to the library anyway. Don't take full credit," I told her as I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, go meet your date, tell me what happens," she winked as I groaned, slamming the front door as I made my way to my car.

I stepped in, driving down to the local library. I grabbed my library card, getting out of the car and walking into the building. I was really familiar with the library, as I loved going there for peace and quiet. I greeted the receptionist, as I knew most of the staff rather personally. I don't know if I would call them friends though.

"Oh, hey Connor!" Elizabeth greeted with a warm smile. I handed her my library card as she scanned it in. "How's your day been?" she questioned, checking the list of books I had checked out during the previous week. "It's been alright. Is Alex here?" I answered, her chuckling, "Nah, he's at home taking care of taxes and stuff again."

I nodded, "Well, I'll be on my way. I'm meeting up with a friend-" "Connor Murphy? Having friends? That's not something you hear every day," I heard a higher pitched voice from behind Elizabeth. "Oh shut up, Peggy. Last time I checked, you didn't have friends either," I shot back playfully.

"Who's your friend?" Angelica asked, slamming a pile of books onto the wooden desk. "Peggy, put these up," she told her sister, gesturing to the books. "Evan Hansen, he has messy, dirty blonde hair, and he normally wears polo shirts or khakis. Did you see him coming in?" I inquired.

"Oh, yeah! He checked in, just got his first membership card," Eliza giggled, "He went that way," She pointed to her right, in which I thanked her, going to find Evan. I spotted the familiar blonde hair and wandering eyes. I walked up to him, "Hey, Hansen,"

Evan turned around, looking me in the eye. "Oh, hey Connor. I didn't know you'd be here," he replied, scanning me up and down with his eyes. I noticed him twitch a bit as if he were changing emotions every two seconds. He looked up at me, "Do you come here often?"

"Yeah, sorta. I mean, I really like reading. If you need to find anything, I can help you. I know this place by heart, to be honest," I explained, him smiling. "Okay, I'd like that. I was actually looking for Les Miserables, I was thinking about getting it for my cousin's birthday," he replied, waiting for a response from me.

I nodded, "Follow me." I led him through the books as we headed to the realistic fiction section. I looked through the K-L shelf. I found the thick book pretty quickly, grabbing it and handing it to Evan. "You really do know your way around this place, don't you?" he asked in astonishment.

"I suppose. As I said, I know this place by heart," I went to look for my own books, scanning through the ones I hadn't read yet. I picked out seven chapter books, all fiction. I gestured for Evan to follow me as we made our way to the checkout. I laid out the books on the desk as Eliza looked up at me.

"I'm surprised there are actually books you haven't read, Murphy," she laughed, me rolling my eyes playfully and shrugging it off. She scanned my card, then scanning the books and tossing them in a bag. She threw the bag at me, laughing a little as I gave a playful glare. She averted her eyes to look at Evan.

"You must be Evan, right? How long have you been friends with our little Connor?" she asked him, Evan suddenly blushing. "Yeah, w-we've known one another f-for about a week now," he stuttered, smiling a bit. I raised an eyebrow in confusion, wondering why he was suddenly flustered. Peggy came up behind Eliza, "I ship it~" Eliza turned to glare at her sister.

"It's fine, Eliza. My sister has been trying to get Evan and I together ever since we became friends. I would strangle her, but my mom probably wouldn't let me," I chuckled, giving an awkward half smile. She nodded in response, scanning Evan's book as well.

"Say 'hi' to Zoe for me, and please come again soon." Eliza added, me laughing, "You know I can't stay away from this place," She just smiled, laughing a bit, "That's true," Peggy jumped into the conversation, adding, "Con, you and your friend over there better get married someday or else I will be mad,"

Evan chuckled nervously, a light blush dusting across his face as my face heated up. "Don't bet on it. I'll see you later, girls." I concluded the conversation, leading Evan out of the building as I heard the sisters' scattered 'goodbyes'. Evan and I went our separate ways, agreeing that we'd talk tomorrow at school.

((Um sorry for the Hamilton characters. I'm running out of ideas))
