I sat in front of Zoe's mirror at her desk, watching her do my hair. "Why did you want to do this again?" I questioned, hiding my aggravation. She rolled her eyes, making eye contact with me in the mirror. "It's because you have the best hair out of everyone in this family. Deal with it." she retorted, seeming as if it were obvious.
She added, "Besides, I think the blue highlights and braids look good on you." I groaned, "Sure. When is the blue going to come out?" She chuckled, "If you want, I can dye your hair to it's original color when the blue starts fading. Or I can just dye it blue again." I just sighed, letting her go back to doing my hair.
She yanked it and I winced, "That hurts." She just made an irritated noise, saying, "Well, maybe if you sTAYED STILL, it wouldn't hurt as much!" I groaned, "Well, you could at least be gentle!" She started to respond before my phone started ringing. I picked it up. "Evan Hansen ;3". I accepted the phone call, pulling the phone up to my ear, "Hey, Ev."
"Hey, Con!"
"Did you need something?"
"I just wanted to know how you were doing,"
"Oh, well I'm doing fine. How are you?"
"I'm great!"
"Ow!" I muttered, turning to growl at Zoe. She just rolled her eyes at me as I continued talking to Evan.
"You okay, Con?"
"Yeah, it's just Zoe."
"Oh,"
"Send help,"
"I can come over i-if you'd like,"
"Sure. Do you need me to pick you up?"
"No, I'll be fine. I'll be there in ten,"
"Okay,"
Evan ended the call and I averted my eyes slowly to look at Zoe, who was smirking evilly. I rolled my eyes, "Can I go yet?" She replied, "No, wait for me to finish, then you can go play with your boyfriend." She grabbed a hair tie, brushing some of my bangs out of the braid and into my face. She finally finished, grinning at her work.
"Mkay, you can go," she informed. I nodded, standing up and looking at my hair in the mirror. "What the fuck have you done?" I asked, a blank expression on my face. She just smiled, "Don't you feel pretty~?" I sighed, "....yes," She squealed, "Yay!"
I heard the doorbell ring, so I grabbed my phone, exiting Zoe's bedroom. I opened the front door, locking eyes with Evan. He looked at my hair, "You're hair is very.... p-pretty." I chuckled, "Yeah, Zoe has been torturing me for the past three hours. Anyway, come in."
I walked away from the door, trying to take out my braid, yet I heard Zoe shout from upstairs, "Connor, if you destroy my beautiful creation, I swear to god you won't be alive tomorrow!" I groaned, leaving my hair as it was. Evan giggled a bit and I turned to glare at him playfully, "What are you laughing at, mister?"
Evan just giggled more, "N-Nothing," I walked up the stairs to my room, playing a game on my phone. I sat on my bed, still staring at my phone. Evan sat next to me, going through some of my latest drawings in my sketchbook. He smiled at one of the pictures, showing it to me. I looked at it, smiling.
It was one of my sketches of Evan. He scooted closer to me, "I feel like your art style is improving." I chuckled, "Well, now I at least have motivation to improve." I hinted to him. He leaned closer, pecking my lips.
Before he could pull away, I set down my phone, kissing back. I pushed him onto the bed, my hands on his waist and his cupping my face, deepening the kiss. "Woah, woah, woah, back it up, you two," I heard Zoe deadpan from behind us. I pulled away, seeing Evan's face flush a dark red. I got off of him, scooting away and trying to ignore my flaming face.
Evan sat up, biting his lip. Zoe laughed, "Slow down you two, don't make babies yet." I gave a glare, "Zoe, we're both men here." She rolled her eyes, "Well, still. Plus, I don't think 'men' would be the right term. More like boys."
I glared as she laughed, leaving the room and closing the door behind her. I heard Evan mumble a bit,
"Woah..."
