Not the Only Ones

Wasting time

Danielle was sat at home unaware that her one best friend was just stabbed in the side. She flipped through the channels when there was a knock on the door. She opened it to see Bucky, wearing a jacket to cover his metal arm and a ball cap.

"Tony wasn't joking when he said he would come to bring me back." Danielle said leaning up against the doorframe

"He doesn't know I'm here." Bucky said softly.

"Woah what happened to the sarcastic asshole?" Danielle asked.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Fine don't play along. Can I help you Metal arm?" Danielle asked closing the door.

"Tony is right about most things-"

"Oh here we go." Danielle said rolling her eyes sitting on the arm of the couch.

"I said most things, but not everything. And he isn't right about you." Bucky said taking off his hat.

"And why isn't he right?" Danielle asked.

"Because there is more to you. I'm a soldier and you scare the shit out of me." Bucky said.

"I'll take that as a compliment and believe me it's just how I act. Like tony said I can throw someone that's so scary." Danielle said.

"But you can do so much more." Bucky said.

"But I can't." Danielle said.

"Catch." Bucky said throwing an apple at her, as it was a few inches in front of her it disappeared and hit Bucky in the back of the head causing him to jump.

"What just happened?" Danielle asked in shock.

"Oh yeah you're right, there isn't anything else to you." Bucky said sarcastically picking up the apple.

"Why do you have so much faith in me?"

"There's an army coming. We need all hands on deck. We better be getting back." Bucky said putting back on his hat.

"I'm not going with you."

"Sorry curly cue you don't have a choice." Bucky said opening the door.

"What did you just call me?" Danielle asked standing up.

"Hey um Bucky, hate to ruin your date but I need you back at the tower. Peter and Charlotte have been hit pretty bad." Tony said flying into the doorway.

"Look who it is." Danielle said crossing her arms

"Hey Doris how have you been? Bucky let's go." Tony said.

"I'm sorry." Bucky said and ran off. Danielle sighed and closed the door.

"Mr. Stark I'm telling you it was those two guys you were talking about. They have no special weapons or anything. But they are super incredibly strong." Peter said.

"Where is Charlotte?" Mia asked running up the steps.

"In the room to the left, she is ok." Tony said.

"Oh my god Charlotte are you ok? I'm so sorry I didn't know that guy had a knife." Mia asked running into the room.

"I'm ok. It went pretty deep but tony said I'll be ok. It might take awhile for me to walk without pain but I'm ok." Charlotte said.

"Why did I think this life would be good, we aren't meant for this." Mia said.

"Mia look at me, I'm ok. Really." Charlotte said.

"Kid I'm going to get Doodle Bop or whatever her name is, we really need anyone we can get." Tony said.

"Sounds good but if you want to get on her good side I would call her Danielle." Bucky said walking into the room.
