Too much to function

It was now the next day. Everyone kept to themselves as Chris awkwardly looked around with Mia. Tony and Steve was working on tracking the group of Bram's friends while Charlotte stood looking out the window.

"Have you talked to Danielle recently?" Bucky asked scaring Charlotte because she was in deep thought.

"Sorry, I tend to scare people a lot." Bucky sighed.

"Oh it's not your fault. But yeah she was the one who brought me here why?" Charlotte asked.

"Is she really mad at me? Like if I would go up and talk to her would she ignore me?" Bucky asked.

"She is confusing. But I know she likes you so I'm sure it's not a problem." Charlotte said.

"Maybe I'll give her space for now. I'll talk to her later." Bucky said and walked off.

"Wait so you can move things with your mind? How come I can't do that?" Chris asked.

"For the third time I didn't ask for these. And yes it's pretty cool." Mia said.

"And you have an electric force?" Chris asked.

"Yes And you ask me one more question I'm going to use it." Mia laughed.

"Ok now I'm actually afraid of you." Chris laughed.

"And you should be, she took out three guys at once. It was pretty incredible." Bucky smiled walking by.

"I bet." Chris smiled and watched Bucky walk away. "Ok who is he and why does he flirting with you?" Chris asked.

"Oh shut up Chris you don't know left from right. He is taken." Mia laughed.

"He looks like the type to have a bunch of side chicks." Chris said.

"And you can't even get one so stop being mean to Bucky he did nothing to you." Mia said.

"I could take him." Chris said.

"Sure you can come on you should get going." Mia laughed pushing him.

"Hold it pretty face you aren't going anywhere." Tony said.

"What did you call me?" Chris asked.

"Sorry would you prefer princess?" Tony asked.

"I would prefer Chris thanks." He said crossing his arms.

"Ok princess and Mia come to the other room we found the group." Tony said.

"Charlotte Bucky come on, T'Challa you too." Tony called.

"What's going on?" Charlotte asked.

"The group is heading to North Carolina." Steve said.

"Right where peter is?" Charlotte asked.

"Damn it I didn't even think about that." Tony sighed.

"We have to go after him." Charlotte said.

"Yes let's go right there with the whole group there without any plan or anything, why don't you pipe down little girl." Steve said.

"Listen to me Steve we are going to save peter, we can't just leave him." Charlotte said giving him the death stare and sending him into the air. He gasped for air and tried to break free.
"Call me little girl again and we are going to have a problem." She said and let him go and he flew to the ground.

"Yeah I get why you are scared of her." Steve said as tony helped him up.

"Ok here's the deal, Charlotte, Bucky and Danielle go to North Carolina, Mia T'Challa and Steve you are going to stay here and protect the tower, me and burger boy are going to keep tracking them see if they change their destination." Tony said.

"Ok we better get going." Charlotte said.

So the three of them headed to North Carolina. They arrived at the apartment and Charlotte ran up the steps and opened the door.

"Charlotte? I thought you were staying at the tower." Peter said shocked standing up.

"Change of plans, we need get out of here now." Charlotte said grabbing his hand.

"What why?" Peter asked.

"Trust me we do not want to be here when Bram's group comes." Charlotte said.

"So does this mean we are ok?" Peter asked.

"You're still an asshole but I still love you now come on they will be in any minute." Charlotte said. As they walked to the door three guys stood blocking it.

"Can I Help you?" Charlotte asked. Peter grabbed her hand tighter.

"You must be Charlotte. The one responsible for taking Bram's life. We are here to talk to you." The main one said

"I'm not in the chatting mood." Charlotte said.

"Good, that makes it easier on us." They said and blasted Charlotte into the wall causing it to break.

"Charlotte!" Peter yelled and ran to her.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"No, my arm is officially shattered. Let me handle them." Charlotte said as peter helped her up.

"Are you sure cause I can get them." Peter said. Charlotte sent pain to all of them and hit them against the ceiling and then the floor. She cut off their oxygen and then dropped them to the ground.

"Your powers keep getting scarier and scarier, come on let's get you to the hospital." Peter said.

"Is everything ok?" Bucky asked running up the steps

"Yeah, just broke my arm." Charlotte said.

"When you get a cast we can be buddies, come on tony will be needing us back." He said and ran down the steps again.

They all made it back, Charlotte got a cast and her and peter seemed to be ok.

"Charlotte my god I leave you for what a day and you go breaking yourself." Mia said hugging her.

"I'm fine, really." Charlotte laughed. While the others all talked and forgot about the stress for a while, Bucky stood outside in the back of the tower. He sat down in the grass and zoned out.

"Hey, I'm surprised you haven't tried to win me back." Danielle laughed walking outside.

"No stop." He said jumping to his feet and backing up.

"Bucky, what's wrong?" Danielle asked.

"I had another freak out. They keep coming more and more frequently. I can't be around anyone Anymore." He said.

"Bucky I've said this once I'll say it again, you can't hurt me or anyone here. Does tony know about this? What about Steve?" Danielle asked.

"No, no one can know. Once they find out I'm going psycho I'll be isolated from everyone, and I can't have that right now." Bucky sighed.

"We can fix this, ok? We can. But if you don't want to be isolated then stop isolating yourself from me." She said. Bucky looked down.

"Come on, everyone is getting ready for bed. It's going to be one big sleepover. Tony said you have the couch in the main room." Danielle said. Bucky looked down and sighed. He looked back to the tower and watched Danielle walk into the building.

"Why am I a monster?" He whispered to himself.
