Flashback:
Horror seemed to know exactly what Dust was thinking, and sighed.
"C'mon Dust. I get it. I'd feel the same way if it were you. But I kind of need you here, now. And besides, you followed me before. Aren't you sorta obliged to keep with me?" Horror chuckled, pulling Dust up, "So come on Dust. I'll have the shitty doctor we're on our way too fix your arm."
Flashback End
Dust gave a soft sigh and a grateful smile, before a wave of dizziness swept over him and he collapsed onto Horror.
"Sorry!" he exclaimed immediately, but he was too dizzy to try and stand up again.
Horror also fell, and now Dust was laying on top of Horror. Horror's face glowed red, but the surprised expression quickly changed to discomfort.
"Umm...heh. It's ok, but can you get up. Please?" Horror asked, trying to put on a calm face. But beneath his act, Dust could clearly see that something made Horror EXTREMELY uncomfortable about the position that the two skeletons had just been in. Possibly a bad memory.
Dust felt immediate guilt when he saw that he had made the other uncomfortable.
He rolled off of Horror quickly, even though the movement made him land on his injured shoulder. He gasped quietly at the spike of pain, but did his best not to show it.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry," he said quickly, sitting up best he could, the growing pile of guilt crushing him.
'I'm just a useless, weak idiot, aren't I?' he thought angrily, angry at himself.
"You're fine, Dusty~. I was just...it reminds me of an uncomfortable memory...when I'd first arrived at the asylum..."
Horror calmly stated, though having a far off look. Horror then turned his attention to the hall at the end of the room, which was short, yet lined with doors. Horror' s sweat appeared again.
Dust blushed darkly at the nickname.
'Dusty... Cute...' he thought absently.
He shook his head to snap himself out of it, still blushing deeply.
"I'm still sorry," he mumbled, feeling more guilty for reminding Horror of something bad.
He sighed, following the other's gaze to the hall.
'I'm an idiot.'
"In those rooms...kill everything. No matter what you find...kill it." Horror stated.
Horror looked at Dust with slight pleading in his eyes. "And I mean it. KILL EVERYTHING, NO MATTER WHAT." Horror said, though his hands were trembling.
Dust hesitated for a long while, then wrapped his arms tightly around the other, hugging him gently.
"I'll try," he said softly, rubbing Horror's back carefully. "I swear, I'll try my best, but I... Can't do much, without my arm. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have got hit by that stupid bullet. I'm just a hindrance now."
Horror looked a little surprised at the hug, his eye glowing in prepared defense. However, when Horror realized that it was only a hug, he calmed.
"You're no hindrance. And I'm not worried about your ability to kill, but your CAPABILITY. The creatures in those rooms...they can do things that..." Horror gave a slight dismayed look, "They can become your worst fears. And then...they'll kill you. Don't die."
Horror looked calmly at Dust, with a warm red lighted eye.
Dust nodded, smiling very gently.
"You don't have to worry about my capability to kill. And... I'll try not to. Ha. Don't die either, won't you?" he said softly, pulling away from the hug slowly, gazing at Horror imploringly, his head tilted slightly sideways.
Horror nodded slowly.
"No promises, but sure." Horror commented. The Horror began to nervously step towards the first door.
Dust followed after Horror, after stooping to grab another gun from one of the fallen scientists. His shoulder was beginning to throb, but he stayed quiet, not wanting to cause any more upset than he already had.
Horror looked at Dust nodding, before heading into the door to the right. The door on the left was the easiest option.
Dust opened the door to the left with little hesitation, stepping into the room with no idea what to expect.
The room was covered in white walls, and had a creme-colored floor. Sitting on an exam table, yet oddly sticking out, was a girl who had her head down. AND SHE WAS WEARING A STRIPED SHIRT.
