Sci nodded as Dust's story, finishing his notes and placing the paper aside.

"I understand that telling me all this is hard for you. But I appreciate you sharing, it's all part of the healing process. Anyways, it's been exactly a year since this has happened, correct?" Sci asked, looking over Dust. The skeleton looked tired, broken inside. His black circles even had black circles.

Dust nodded brokenly, letting out a soft breath.

"Correct," he murmured, looking away slightly.

"And this box that he gave you. You've not opened it yet?" Sci continued, not bothered by Dust looking away. He understood.

Dust gave a small nod, tracing the picture engraved on the box with his fingertip, just as he'd done so many times before.

"Will you?" Sci asked, wanting to help Dust. It was the least he could do.

Dust hesitated for the longest while, then gave a small, slow nod.

"I guess it's about time, huh," he mumbled quietly, gripping onto the box tightly.

"Whenever you feel comfortable." Sci reassured, not wanting to rush Dust into it. Yet, he wanted to know what Horror had left behind for his love.

Dust sat there for a long while, just staring at the box with a distant look on his face.

Eventually, he gave a tiny nod, opening the box slowly and ever so carefully.

Inside was a small letter, along with a drawing, and a box of crayons. Unused.

Dust cracked a tiny smile, tears building in his eyes for the first time in what must've been half a year.

He sat there for a while longer, just staring at the items, then his trembling hands reached for the drawing, stroking the paper absentmindedly as he gazed at the picture.

The picture was of him and Horror, looking out at a sunset together. It was masterfully drawn, and down in the write corner, the words, "Suns rise. And set. Let's create our own lightshow. We don't need the sun to do it, just each other."

Tears were dripping down his face as he gripped onto the paper gently, not enough to rip or tear it, not even enough to bend it, just a gentle hold on the picture.

'Horror... You corny moron.... I love you...'

He clutched the paper to his chest slightly, tears slipping from his closed sockets, falling down his cheeks.

'I love you so much....'

Finally, he placed the paper beside the box, smoothing it out with shaky hands, then taking the letter in his hands slowly and carefully, gazing at it with eyes full of pain and love.

Sci watched quietly, not daring to even breathe, for fear that he'd but in on the moment.

The letter read, " Dear Dust,

If you're reading this, then I'm most likely gone. If so, then I'm sorry. I love you my friend. However, I have something you must know. Before you entered the asylum and we met, me and the doctor...some things happened. I gave birth to a child, a girl named Lea. You probably didn't know until now. She is still at the asylum.

I know she is the daughter of... well...him. But after we escaped, I wanted us to raise her together. I wanted us to be...a family. Now, I ask you. Find her, please. If you wish to have no buissness with her, than I'll respect that. I'm just asking after all.

I miss you my love. I'm glad we got to create our own sunrise, before mine set."

Dust breathed in sharply, staring at the paper, tears falling faster as he read through it, again and again, over and over. After a while, he broke out of his trance, and he nearly tore the note out of rage and fear and sadness.

He didn't, though. Fortunately.

'...Lea, huh..?' he thought sadly, giving a tiny, pained smile at the thought of Horror's child.

He didn't want to consider her Deussbag's child, not even partly. '... Lea... You have good name taste, love...I'll find her. I will find her. For you, Horror...'

Sci gazed curiously at the note, reading the part about Lea. "Are you going to go find the girl?"

Dust jolted slightly, as if he'd forgotten Sci was there.

"I-I..." he stuttered out of shock, but he soon got his thoughts in order. "...Yea, I am..."

'Of course I am. Horror asked me to,' he thought sadly, tracing his fingertip over where Horror had written 'Dust' on the letter.

Sci nodded, thinking. "Well, when you're ready, I'm ready. Me and Red can help you access the asylum, since we're staff. Well help you find her."

Dust smiled a small, thankful smile, nodding tearfully.

"That would be... Amazing... Thank you..." he whispered, looking up at Sci properly.

Sci nodded, wanting to hug Dust, yet stopping himself. He didn't want to put Dust into discomfort.

Dust hesitated, then pulled Sci into a soft, short hug.

"Thank you," he said quietly, tears still running down his face.

He needed this. He hadn't had a hug in a literal year, he had pretty much just isolated himself.

He'd forgotten how nice contact with other people could be.

Sci hugged back lightly, smiling softly. "I'm glad to help you. You need your rest. For the sake of yourself."

Dust shook his head slightly, not wanting to sleep, what with his constant nightmares, and with the fact that there was actually something important to do.

"I don't need to sleep, I want to find this kid. I need to..." he mumbled.

Sci looked confused, but then slowly nodded. "Ok. Well then...whenever you're ready."

Dust smiled thankfully, his tears finally starting to slow.

"I'm ready," he said quietly.

"Ok. Well then, let's get back to the office. We can do a patient check." Sci suggested, smiling.

Dust smiled softly, wiping his tears away carefully, pulling away from the hug.

"Sounds good," he said. "Let's do that."

The two made their way quietly to Sci's office, where Red was resting on the couch. Sci kissed him on the forehead, before turning to go to the computer.

Dust smiled slightly at the gesture that Sci made, following the other to the computer.

'They're still just as cute as ever.'

Sci stopped at the computer, quickly moving to the patients screen. "103 patients as of today, 59 male, 44 female. 23 are 18 and under." Sci began, trying to narrow the search straight down to Lea.

Dust nodded his understanding, gazing at the screen intently, paying attention quietly.

Sci narrowed the search down to only one monster, and was about to click on the profile. "You ready?"

Dust gave a small nod.

"Yeah," he said quietly, his nonexistent throat hoarse. "I'm ready."
