Lea lay against the back corner of the room, her aura no longer present. Her eyes were closed, and she didn't move when Dust entered. She most likely passed out from exhaustion.
Dust sighed quietly, walking over to her and bending down to pick her up gently.
Lea's small body didn't resist, and she simply lay in Dust's arms, gently clinging to him.
Dust carried the smaller out of the bathroom, gently pressing a small kiss to her forehead.
Lea mumbled small, incomprehensible words, as she slept.
Dust listened to the small child's mutterings, rocking her gently, trying to comfort her.
Lea had small tears edging at her eyes, as her face turned to a mix of pain and fear.
Dust frowned slightly, feeling extremely guilty for making everything worse, his expresion sad and defeated.
"Lea..." he murmured gently, hoping to wake her, his soul hurting at seeing the smaller like that.
Lea opened her eyes softly, jolting at seeing Dust. However, she quickly relaxed, and without thinking, hugged Dust tightly.
Dust hugged back just as tightly, holding Lea close gently.
"You okay..?" he asked lamely, his eyes worried.
"I'm...tired...And hungry." She mumbled, obviously seeming more tired than she looked.
Dust smiled gently.
"Red prepared some dinner, you can eat then get some rest, sound good?" he said softly.
"Yeah." Lea nodded sleeply, rubbing her eyes as she let Dust to go to the dining table with Red and Sci.
Dust led her to the table, glad that she seemed okay, even if tired.
Red ans Sci seemed happy enough, seeing as Lea was seemingly fine, and acting ok. And dinner was ready and set up in an orderly manner too.
Dust took a seat, drumming his fingertips against his leg gently.
Red smiled, filling everyone's plates with the salad, steak, and mashed potatoes that awaited.
Dust thanked Red softly, then started eating, enjoying the meal.
Lea smiled at the meal, enjoying it immensely. Red and Sci however, seemed to be slightly slower eaters, but they seemed contents as well.
Dust ate quickly by comparison, having a probably bad habit of bolting his food. He glaced towards Lea and smiled softly, glad that she seemed to be enjoying the food.
Sci chuckled at how quickly Dust ate his food, knowing that in the past, it has probably been necessary. Lea also looked at Dust, eating quicker to try and catch up to him.
Dust didn't really notice Lea changing the pace of her food intake, continuing to eat.
Sci and Red both watched as Lea continuously sped up her eating process, attempting to match Dust. All while, he remained oblivious to the situation. It was a funny scene, indeed.
Dust remained unaware of Lea's efforts, soon finishing his food and leaning back into his chair slightly.
Lea continued to speed up on her eating, feeling like it was for some reason necessary. As if, if she didn't finish quickly, something bad would happen. She shuddered at the thought, continuing to eat.
Dust finally noticed Lea's shudder, as well as how fast she was shovelling food down her throat and frowned slightly, figuring that something was wrong but unable to figure out what.
She eventually finished, looking tired and rather sick. Too much, too fast. But still, she hoped she'd pleased Dust.
Sci and Red had left their attention of Lea awhile ago, not thinking she'd continue to eat that fast.
Dust gazed over at Lea worriedly, anxious.
'Did something happen..?'
"Lea..? Are you okay?" he asked gently, his words soft and full of worry.
Lea nodded, feeling nervous. Had she done something wrong? Was she in trouble? She decided to keep quiet about the sick feeling in her metaphorical stomach, and she waited patiently.
Sci and Red both looked up at Lea after hearing Dust's question, wondering what was wrong.
Dust only turned more worried, the anxious bean that he was.
"Are you sure..? You seem... sick..." he said quietly, fretting that he'd done something wrong again.
"Um...I'm ok daddy...Um...What is sick?" She asked, both wanting to change the subject, and not knowing the word's meaning. Even though she was rather intuitive, and could learn words quickly, she hadn't be gifted the chance to learn much back with Duessbag.
Dust tilted his head to the side slightly, trying to dismiss his worry as paranoia, but not able to.
"...It's when you don't feel well, or when you feel like you're going to throw up all your magic or food," Dust responded slowly, unsure of how to define the feeling.
Lea nodded, looking away slightly. She was in trouble, wasn't she. 'Oh no. I messed up somehow. I'm gonna get in trouble aren't I. He'll probably not want me. Oh no no no no...'
Lea decided not to cry of let it show though, because big girls hold their tears...right?
Dust hesitated slightly, his eyes concerned.
"You can talk to me, y'know... It's okay," he said quietly, still feeling like something was wrong.
'Did I do something..?' he thought guiltily.
"Ummm....it's nothing..." Lea quickly said, trying to act fine. 'He's onto me. When he sees that I feel sick, he'll get upset or something. He'll want me to leave. No no no no no no no no no no.'
