Recap
Dust shivered slightly, looking at Sci curiously, his head tilted.
'Curious...'
Recap End
Sci noticed Dust's gaze, and he looked away nervously.
"W...what is it?"
"You still have your magic..." he pointed out softly, attempting to use his own magic, but he felt a stinging pain in his soul at the attempt, his eye light flickering with purple magic, then turning back to white.
'Huh...'
"Oh. The doctor saw that I had no magic. My magic is different, so it didn't read on his machine. I can sense the weak spots of nearly any object or living being. And I can alter these stats accordingly. It's a different kind of magic, but still mine. Right now, I'm trying to find a weak spot in these restraints."
Dust nodded, intrigued.
"Oh," he said softly.
Sci looked nervous, and continued to his work.
"What special ability do you have?"
Dust shook his head slightly, looking away.
"I don't really have any special ability. Just the abilities that most other skeletons can use. None that are particular to me," he said casually, smiling slightly.
'I'm not special.'
Sci shook his head.
"All sanses have a special ability, wether they know it or not. It's not always magic, but quite commonly it's found in magical abilities. You just don't know yours yet, I assume."
Dust shrugged slightly.
"Maybe I'm special by not being special," he muttered.
Sci seemed to hear, and he sighed quietly.
"No Dust. You just don't know what special ability you have. Don't down yourself."
Dust hesitated, then gave a small nod.
"Yeah, okay."
Sci looked over his own restraints for a moment more, before turning to examine Dust's.
Dust stayed quiet, thinking of the special ability thing.
'I don't think there's anything... Maybe I'm just not special and that's that? I dunno.'
Sci finally looked satisfied with himself, and he motioned to Dust, who looked lost in thought.
"Dust. I found your break out point."
Dust's attention immediately turned back to Sci, his face and voice showing his interest.
"Really? That's great,"
"Yes. If you can reach it, please grab the lock of your neck restraint. The top left corner of the restraint's lock will crumble, if you push down on it. The rest of that restraint should do the same."
Dust nodded immediately, reaching for the lock.
The lock began crumbling, just as Sci had explained. Not only that, but it gave Dust a tiny bit of magic usage available.
Dust finished with that, then looked back to Sci for instructions.
Sci nodded to Dust, encouraging him to use that magic to break out of his other restraints at least.
Dust's eye light lit up with a soft purple glow as he started to use his magic, breaking out of the restraints.
Sci watched silently, not daring to interfere.
