Recap
Dust smiled softly, nodding slightly as he gently slid his arms beneath the other's body.
"Of course," he said softly, standing up with Horror in his arms.
Recap Is done
Horror leaned lightly into Dust, praying that he didn't die. He couldn't, not now. He needed to be somewhere special with Dust, so that if he did die, he could have Dust as the special last thing he saw.
Dust nuzzled Horror gently as he walked, carrying him out of the doctor's apartment.
"Is the rooftop okay..?" he asked softly, walking down the hallway, not at all caring how anyone saw him, stained in blood and carrying his love to an elevator.
Horror nodded, smiling sadly. "That sounds...nice."
A few people walking by stopped and gasped, staring at Dust and Horror in shock.
Dust returned Horror's sad smile, kissing the other's cheekbone softly as he reached the elevator, ignoring all of the other people, only focusing on Horror.
Horror listened to the soft music of the elevator, as he enjoyed the soft material of Dust's jacket. It helped to stop just a small bit of the burning pain in his side.
Dust pressed soft, careful kisses to Horror's jaw as they waited, nuzzling him lovingly.
When they reached the top level, he stepped out, tracing small patterns onto Horror's arm with his thumb, giving a small, bittersweet sigh.
The sunset was something to truly behold. Blues, pinks, purples, oranges, yellows, and all colors of beauty. The type of view that would be shown in top rated nature sites. Horror looked out at the sky in childish wonder, for a second, forgetting his pain.
Dust smiled at Horror's expression, far preferring to watch his love over the sky, no matter how brilliant.
Horror was far more beautiful.
(Awwwww)
As the sky slowly darkened, Horror knew what he had to say.
"Dust?" He quietly asked.
"Yes, love?" Dust responded immediately, gazing at the other worriedly. "What is it?"
"I love you. Please, last beyond me. Love yourself as I do. I can't be there to do it for you. But... I will miss you. Take this..." Horror handed Dust a small box, with a sunrise engraved on it. "Open this when I'm gone. When you're ready. I'm leaving you something that I wish we could have shared together. "
Dust's eye sockets widened.
"No. Nonononono. No. Horror, don't you dare dust on me, p-please... I... I can't... No! Horror, I love you, don't... Please don't..." Dust whimpered out, trembling in the face of losing the other, fear consuming him completely.
Horror gently placed his hand on Dust's cheek, kissing him softly. "I love you too. I'll never forget you. And I'm sorry, for doing this to you. But my time is up. Still, you have a whole life ahead of you."
Horror closed his eyes as the last beams of light disappeared. "I love you, Dust."
Dust closed his eyes against the tears as his entire body was racked by sobs.
"Horror, you ARE my life. I don't have anything ahead of me without you... Horror... Please... I... I... I love you too... I... I... I... I l-love you t-too, I..." Dust was choking on pain and tears as he trailed off into harsh sobs and muttered, broken 'I love you's, his soul feeling as if it had been ripped to shreds.
A final tear fell from Horror's face. "I'll never forget you, my love."
The sun set. On the city. On Horror's life. Only a small pile of dust and bloodied clothing lay there, along with the sunrise engraved box. And the whisper of Horror's words.
