Hermione's eyes slowly fluttered open and she became vaguely aware that somebody was gently shaking her arm and a weight was rested on her shoulder. Looking around the room, she noticed that both Remus and James were missing from their beds, and looking at the figure that sat to her left, she realised that it was Sirius who had been shaking her arm. He smiled down at Hermione, not his usual smirk, but a kind and heart-warming smile that made butterflies erupt in her stomach.
"Hey...." Hermione muttered, stretching her arm that had become numb from the weight on her right shoulder which she now knew to be Dennis.
"Hey, sorry I left last night." Sirius whispered back, as he moved to sit closer to Hermione.
"Where did you go?" She asked, confusion finding itself onto her face.
"Full moon...." Sirius trailed off, the two words gaining recognition on Hermione's face.
"I forgot.... I'm so sorry Sirius. I should have been there..." Hermione trailed off, annoyed at herself for forgetting that last night was a full moon. She had been so self-absorbed in her own problems that she had forgotten about everyone else's.
"You couldn't have done anything 'Mione, not unless you secretly have an Animagus form, which I don't think you do.... Although, that's not such a bad idea. I might have to find you a mandrake leaf...." Sirius said, his gaze piercing through Hermione as he studied her.
"Where is everyone?" Hermione asked, seeing only Dennis leaning on her shoulder and Lily lying on James' bed under the covers.
"Remus and James are in the hospital wing. I was there too but I came back to see you, I wanted to make sure you were okay." Sirius said, a smile still claiming his face that Hermione returned along with a blush.
"If that's all it takes to make you blush, I'll have to do it more often." Sirius said, as he leaned in towards Hermione, his gaze focused onto her eyes, hoping that she wouldn't pull away.
Before she even had time to react, Sirius' lips had claimed hers and without thinking, she responded, greedily. A low moan escaped the back of his throat, the sound reverberated against Hermione's lips, making her shiver. Sirius deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding into her mouth. His hands moved to her waist as hers skated over his arms and around his neck. Sirius' tongue danced along hers and it melted Hermione into him and she gasped as her bottom lip was pulled between his teeth. His lips moved over to her neck and she moved her head to the side, giving him more room between her collar and jawline. He left large purple bruises behind that Hermione knew would surely be noticed later. A cough interrupted them and as Hermione turned around, she noticed that none other than Dennis was staring at them, wide eyed and a blush crept up Hermione's neck and face at the mere thought that he had been watching them.
"Ermm.... Hey Dennis...." Hermione trailed off, unsure of what to say as she moved away from Sirius, putting space between them.
"Are you okay there Creevey? You look a bit flushed" Sirius said, his infamous smirk back on his face.
"I'm f-fine...." Dennis replied, his face a bright red that would make any Weasley proud.
"Well, I best get going" Sirius said, and he kissed Hermione's cheek before basically sprinting out of his dorm room.
"So, you and him then?" Dennis teased, his blush fully gone now that Sirius had left.
"Ermm.... Yes... That's a lie, no, not really. It's complicated." Hermione spoke, her words overlapping in a jumble.
"I won't tell anyone if that's what's worrying you." Dennis said as he placed a hand over Hermione's.
"Thanks Dennis."
