Trudging out of potions class, Hermione sighed before rubbing her eyes with her hands. Today had been too long. Sirius and the rest of the marauders were still avoiding her gaze even after a month, but she could've sworn that Remus had glanced and smiled at her before turning back to his parchment. Sirius had never looked so glum, sitting in the corner of every class, barely speaking a word and she couldn't help but feel guilty but surely, he'd understand once she explained. Right?
Hermione dragged her feet, scuffing them across the floor, making sure to take her time as she walked back to the Gryffindor common room, before a hand stretched out, gripping her arm and pulling her into one of the secret alcoves hidden around the castle. Green eyes stared back at her and she whipped her wand out, pointing it at the neck of the attacker but she slowly dropped it after seeing who it was.
"Hey..." His voice spoke, and Hermione couldn't help but smile.
"Remus..." Hermione trailed off before wrapping her arms around the young werewolf's neck.
"I'm so sorry. I though it'd help Sirius if I ignored you, but I've missed you so much." He answered back, his voice muffled through her mane of bushy hair.
"I've missed you too Moony." She replied, pulling back as she stared into his eyes, green flecks staring back.
"Care to explain what's been going on, Hazel?" Remus asked, concern now clouding his face.
"Hazel?" Hermione questioned.
"Your eyes. They're hazel. Now explain." He explained as though it was the most obvious thing.
"Me and Matthew aren't together. It's an act. To help me get into the Death Eater circle. To help me get closer to the Dark Lord. So that he doesn't suspect I'm 'Granger'. And when the right time comes, I'll be able to end all this. I'll be able to kill him and hopefully Sirius will finally forgive me. Along with the rest of you." Hermione whispered, and Remus nodded, taking it all in.
"I'm so sorry I doubted you. You did all this to protect us." He whispered before hugging her once again and it felt like years before the two friends finally pulled away.

"I think it's best if you go in first." Hermione spoke, gesturing to the common room that was hidden behind the portrait. "And don't tell anyone. Especially not Sirius. The Slytherin's are trusting me more now that they know Sirius is hurting"
"Okay Hazel. Good luck." Remus spoke before walking forward. Suddenly, he stopped and turned around to face Hermione once again. He pulled a piece of parchment out of his pocket before handing it to the young witch in front of him. "If you need me, write on this. I have another one like it. I'll receive the message and I can reply. The previous message will be erased once seen for privacy."
"Thank you Moony." Hermione whispered before hugging the brown-haired wizard and pushing him towards the portrait and after the portrait had closed after him, she added "Don't forget me" before a single tear fell.

"Dumbledore, you're cheating. I always win at gobstones." Narcissa complained, pointing at Hermione before a giggle erupted from her.
Surprisingly, Hermione had grown very close to none other than Narcissa Black, soon to be Malfoy. As an adult, Narcissa had seemed cruel but here, as a teenager, she was a sweet girl and Hermione began to spend most of her time with her.
"I did not. I'm just better than you." Hermione replied, smiling back.
"Nobody's ever beaten Narcissa at a game of gobstones. You really are one of a kind, aren't you?" A voice spoke before leaning over and planting a kiss on the bushy haired witches' cheek. Matthew.
"I must be." She replied, before smirking at the two Slytherins.
"She has a smirk. Oh my god. Bye bye Gryffindor Princess. Hello Slytherin Princess." Narcissa exclaimed, clapping her hands together like a child with a wide grin on her face.
"You wish. She's always going to be my Gryffindor." Matthew retorted. "Your dad's looking for you." He mentioned, pointing towards Hermione.
"I'll speak to you later?" Hermione asked, looking over at Narcissa who nodded. "I've got a surprise for you later." She added as she looked over at Matthew with the smirk she had adopted from him
"A surprise? I can't wait to see it." He replied, smiling before leaning in. Their lips met, and Hermione began to smile as she linked her arms around his neck. Butterflies seemed to erupt in her stomach and she quickly pulled away.
"Gotta go. Dad's waiting." She spoke quickly before running out of the Slytherin common room, leaving a confused Matthew behind.
She pressed her back against the wall outside of the common room, placing a hand to her chest as she regulated her breathing. That was Matthew. Matthew Nott. And she had butterflies. Only one explanation came to mind as she ran quickly towards Dumbledore's office.
Could she have feelings for him?
No... This was Matthew Nott she was talking about.
She brushed it off with a quick laugh before climbing the stairs as she prepared herself for what was coming.

HEY HEY HEY
GUESS WHO'S BACK? BACK AGAIN?
So this is more of a filler chapter, but it help set the rest of the side plots into motion.
Don't be afraid to share your opinion in the comments. I love reading them.
I'm going to try and get a few chapters up over the weekend, because my exams start next week and they don't end until July so I probably won't have time to update unfortunately.
Also, my mum paid for me to go to the Warner Brother's Tour in London the other week and I have honestly never seen anything so magical in my life :)
Hope you enjoyed.
Don't let the muggles get you down,
