Today's chapter is very long and I mean very very very long!
Enjoy!
---------------------------------------
Hermione woke up in the plain, white room that she had so desperately tried to avoid for the last week since being discharged. The hospital wing was a bleary place and Hermione felt that she had spent too much time there for her liking. Her right arm ached and her head was fuzzy with how she got here. Lifting her arm up to her eyes to see the bandaged forearm, the previous night's adventure presented itself at the forefront of her mind. Her mouth and lips were dry and she noticed a glass of water sitting on the cabinet next to her bed. Reaching out a hand towards it, she grasped the glass with her right arm before the pain became unbearable and she dropped the glass on the floor with a clatter. The glass smashed and the water was spread across the floor.
A worried Madame Pomphrey came running out of her office, an anxious look on her face, before she noticed the glass pieces on the floor and a small smile crept onto her face.
"You need rest Miss Dumbledore. You should have called if you needed help. Your Uncle thinks it's wise if you stay in the hospital wing for the next couple of weeks, just to make sure your arm fully heals which I doubt it will. Your right arm has been tainted by dark magic which is often not able to be reversed. I will fetch one of your friends from your dorm to bring some clothes and your school work down here later."
Walking back into her office, she returned with another glass of water before helping Hermione to drink it. Kneeling, she picked up the shards of glass before wiping up the water.
"Mr Lupin came to visit you this morning. He seemed very worried about you. He asked me to tell you that he will return later." Madame Pomphrey commented as she turned to the young witch who was clutching her arm tightly, as though protecting it from further damage. Hermione nodded her head as the nurse returned to her office.

"Is she okay?" Sirius asked, panic and shock covering his face.
"I'm not sure. She has another scar to add to her list but Madame Pomphrey said it was tainted by dark magic" Remus replied, before taking a bite out of his chicken breast.
"Where did she go last night anyway? She seemed in such a rush to get back out of the common room."
"Just because I spend my time in the library, doesn't mean that I know the answer to every question of yours. Why don't you ask her uncle?"
"I can't Moony. It's not my place to. She's ignoring me anyway.""What did you do now Padfoot?" James questioned as he sat down next to Sirius.
"I tried to kiss her." Sirius stated, his head resting against the wooden table.
James burst out laughing, spitting his pumpkin juice over Remus. Remus gave James a dirty look, looking at his sopping wet robes before leaving the Great Hall.
"You got rejected by a girl?! You?! Sirius Black?!" James questioned, in-between laughs.
"Ha ha. Very funny Prongs" Sirius said, hiding his head in his hands.
"Just talk to her"
"Easy for you to say when you've been pining over a girl that has shown you no interest in the last 6 years" Sirius commented.
"You wait. Lily will be mine before Christmas."
"Yeah, okay." Sirius commented, doubtful at his brother's belief.
