Act 19. Where It Belongs

"What did you say?" I asked... not asking but I want to confirm it again that he said no.

He's kind of struggling and his eyes looked anxious that can't even look at me. I waited for his answer until I got annoyed.

"I'm sorry dad but I need to find out things about my twin brother."

"No!" Again he said it. "I mean, sasamahan kita matuklasan about your twin brother."

But why is it that I can't get the feeling of trust from him? In his composure right now, he's nervous and uncomfortable...can't even look me in the eye. Is there something that I wanted to know?

"I think I'll do it on myself daddy. You're too busy with the company so focus on it and I'll deal with my personal matters." I suggested.

I went to the bathroom and took a shower then changed. I texted Oreo to fetch me in the condo. While waiting outside the building, my suspicion became stronger when my husband said NO.

I laylow with all my suspicion for more than a month after my husband got sick. But this time, I'm doing this for my twin brother. Oreo came and I went inside the car.

"Boss, saan ang lakad mo?" He asked.

"At my house."

"Di ba ito yung bahay mo?"

Gosh! Sometimes Oreo is dumb. "Not my condo. What I mean is the Panitchayasawad residence."

Oreo was surprised when he heard where I'm going. He didn't speak and just drive heading to the house. I noticed that Oreo was struggling removing a piece of black thing that was clip on the aircon.

"Ano gagawin mo sa bahay, Boss?" He curiously asked.

"I need answers Oreo." I suddenly remembered that Oreo knew Wayo for a long time. "Oreo, do you know what happen to my twin brother?"

He looked at me with confusion. "Twin brother?"

"Yes! My twin brother, Kim's lover, Wayo?"

Oreo's eyes became wide after I said my twin brother's name. Is there something wrong of what I said?

"Oreo, do you know anything?" I curiosuly asked because I know he knew something about my twin brother.

"Boss, ito na yung huling araw na tatawagin kitang boss ko."

"Why? Are you resigning as my driver?"

"Oo." I got sad when I heard his answer. "And this time, I am your stepbrother, Wayo."

Wait! He called me Wayo which made me confused. I don't know what's his thinking right now and I don't take it seriously calling me by my twin brother's name.

"You got it wrong, Oreo. I'm not Wayo. I am Bas, his twin brother."

"Yan ba ang sinabi ni Pree sayo? O ikaw lang ang conclude na may kakambal ka?"

Yeah! He's right! Pree didn't say anything about Wayo and being a twin brother. I was the one who assumed it.

"Bas, wala kang kakambal. Si Wayo at ikaw ay iisa."

He was serious and it didn't sink-in in my system. How come that he is so sure about me and Wayo as one?

"Wait Oreo... I'm not Wayo, really."

"Dahil hindi mo matandaan ang nakaraan mo. Sa tuwing binubulag ka ng kasinungalingan ay hindi mo talaga makikita ang katotohanan."
