— Two Weeks Later —
We started shooting for the series and everything seems fine so far except that Kim and I never had a conversation after that day he got mad at me. We just kept it professionally when shooting a scene.
However, Tod became my company and he always practiced his lines with me and it gives me benefit too because I also learned how to convey those lines especially when there's a scene where I need to cry.
"Bas, may problema ba kayo ni Kim?" Tod asked me out of the blue.
"No. We just respect each other's privacy." I lied though I know that we really do have a problem.
But I became sad this past few days because Kim and I got close to each other. He's like an outcast now because of his aura. Most of the casts avoided him and it really gave me a pain in my heart.
"Bas and Kim, mag shoot na tayo." The director called us and of course I prepare myself.
We're going to shoot a scene where I need to reject the confession of his character and thinking of that made me sad.
"Okay, ready na in 1...2...3... ACTION!"
We were in a field full of dried leaves falling from the branches of the trees. I looked at Kim and noticed that he's acting shy and nervous.
"Bank..." he called my character's name and suddenly he gave me a bouquet of roses. "I like you."
I remembered that in the script that I need to act surprised so I did and then I change my facial expression to sadness and said.
"I'm sorry P'... pero hindi kita gusto." I answered.
Kim's face also changes an emotion where he suddenly got teary eyes. My heart starts trembling and aching when I saw him like this. He was really hurt and I know it's not an acting. Then, a tear shed and fall down from my eyes.
"CUT!" The director shouted. "Bas, bakit ka umiyak? Dapat hindi ka iiyak dahil sa script hindi mo pa gusto yung character ni Kim."
"I'm sorry P'." I apologized.
I got carried away with Kim's acting. It was like it's real. Kim wiped away his teary eyes and contained himself.
"Okay, continue nalang tayo dun pagkatapos umiyak ni Kim. Kaw na magdeliver ng lines mo Bas." The director instructed.
"Okay P.'"
So we started acting again till I deliver all my lines for that scene. After that, we went back to each other's tent area. We never talked about how our acting was.
"Bas, kumain ka muna. Kumuha na ako ng pagkain para sa atin."
Tod was thoughtful and at least I have company here. I didn't know most of the casts here. I started to munch the egg sandwich that Tod gave to me.
"Kain lang Bas. Tayo na susunod magshoot ng scene." He informed me.
I just nodded and continue eating this piece of sandwich. Hunger really kills me. After I ate the food, Tod was practicing his lines with me so that he'll make it perfect as what he said. I read through the script and gosh, we'll doing the rain scene and the accidental kiss.
"Do we really have to kiss in this scene?" I curiously asked.
"Yes Bas but it's just an accident so hindi kiss talaga na kailangan magmoment sa paghalik." He said.
"Okay. So it's just a few seconds then I'll withdraw right?" I confirmed.
"Yes Bas kaya wag kang magkamali kundi uulit-ulitin talaga natin hanggang ma satisfied sila."
