Episode 1: Enter, the Kyuuseishu!

"REMIND ME WHY THIS PIECE OF SHIT IS SO IMPORTANT?!" Nikos cursed, twirling around as his feet planted onto a nearby rooftop. Raising his hand, the tattoo of the snakes crossing over on his right arm began to glow. The snake duo he usually went with melted into the ground, becoming a puddle of black with four red dots in them.

Chase answered his question, launching himself in the air before using his chains as grappling hooks. Flying through a swarm of soldiers, he burnt their metal to nothing before landing behind them swiftly. "Because we get paid well for this. On your left, Gal!" He shouted last minute, the girl being pulled into Akane's violet barrier.

She popped her bubblegum onto her lips, magenta eyes hardening into a powerful glare. "Picking on the kid, huh? Payback." Her barrier filled with multiple electrical shocks, scattering and hitting the guard that went for Galena in the first place. Galena smiled, her muteness preventing her from saying a word, but it was clear that she was grateful.

"Nikos, heads up!" Akane yelled as Galena ran towards him, helping him deal with a few guards as her powers helped enhance and heal any wounds he had. Chase blinked, looking up shortly before seeing a sparkle in the sky. "She got it!" He shouted, Akane jumping up just as Y/n had fell from the sky as a panther, the precious lacrima still in her mouth.

Chase glanced back, watching Akane put her purple sleeves around Y/n, teleporting her to their hideout. She quickly came back, getting Galena next before disappearing. The bleached haired male with bright orange eyes looked back, glancing into Nikos's blood red ones. "I set 'em up. Make quick work of 'em and send a signal, Akane'll come back to get you."

Nikos nodded curtly, smirking as he cracked his knuckles. Chase leaped into the air, turning into a flaming spiral as his chains helped keep the flames contained in one direction. He soon disappeared into the air, returning back to the camp as well. The soldiers ran for Nikos as the pool of red and black crowded at his feet.

After feeding off of their fear and negative memories, Nikos had managed to gather more than enough power. The mixture of the two colors materialized into one large snake, distracting the armed guards enough for him to jump around in the air. Using that momentum, he picked off each pin that latched a chain to a fireball, a trap Chase had set up earlier.

The fire started to burn the houses and rooftops, causing them to collapse on top of the soldiers. He jumped back just as the large snake became two, going into his tattoo and causing a bright red glow. With the shine of his tattoo lighting up in the air, he swiftly disappeared, a flash of purple wrapping around his abdomen being the last of him to be seen.

Appearing back at the small camp they'd made, Nikos was set to sit on the side of a tent, a tired breath leaving his lips. Approaching him, Y/n waved a piece of cooked meat in front of his mouth, a glimmer of concern in her eyes. "Eat," He chomped on it gratefully, tearing it off of the stick that she was offering from.

Galena blinked, confused at why he was so exhausted. Her hands glowed a green, offering to heal him, but Chase stopped her. "He's just tired. You don't need to heal anything, alright? Go ahead and get some rest." She smiled kindly, nodding before going into the indigo colored tent to sleep.

Akane poked at the fire with a dry stick as Y/n lugged Nikos over to sit with them, the bonfire at the center and nearly burning Nikos's feet. "How long before they send guilds after us? This is the fourth army we've wiped out." Her statement was quiet, but loud enough for the rest of them to hear her.

Nikos nodded, blinking slowly. "Agreed. I'm getting tired of the same old. They're all so easy to beat," He commented, snatching the stick from Y/n's hand and chewing on it. Y/n didn't really say much in response, thwacking him upside the head before grabbing another stick with meat on it for herself.

Chase shrugged, his shoes at the rim of the bonfire as he did so. "I don't know, but we should hold back for a bit. Galena's constantly with us and she almost got hurt today. I don't want to risk it again, so we should—" A large boom cut him off. It was only about a mile or two away from the camp, causing them to be highly alert.

Y/n glanced over, nodding curtly. "—I'll go check it out. Have Galena heal up Nikos, so you all can move faster. Other than that, head for the mountaintops. I saw one nearby when I was scouting earlier. I'll fly you all back from there." She informed. Chase, who was usually the leader, just took the orders, knowing quarreling wouldn't help their situation.

She transformed into a peregrine falcon, enabling her much more stamina and a higher range of speed. Taking to the air, she glided quickly before diving down into the foliage. Her wings brushed past some of the charred areas, e/c eyes landing on a large dead boar with burnt fur and flesh.

"You didn't have to kill it that harshly, Natsu!" A blonde haired girl yelled at the pink haired male, waving in a scolding manner. He seemed to smile at that, probably used to the female's yelling and mannerisms. "Oh, c'mon! I'm sure it tastes good!" He grinned widely as three more people arrived, one holding a cat.

The white cat huffed, averting her eyes. "What if the enemies were nearby? You could've scared them off by now!" She shouted, also scolding the man. A blue cat—that Y/n had failed to notice before—popped up from behind the boar's corpse, a fish in his mouth as he yelled an agreement to Natsu's reply. "I'm sure an explosion couldn't have scared them off!"

The talking cat blinked, looking around as she sighed. Her head tilted up shortly, as if studying something. Y/n's feathers ruffled, watching Carla's eyes fall onto herself. "Something's fishy," The white cat spoke up, brown eyes narrowing in a scheming manner towards the bird. "I think it's just my fish, Carla! Want some?" The blue furred cat offered, obviously smitten.

"No, I'm sure that's not it, Happy," His eyes widened at her statement, ears perking up.

The blue haired girl who was carrying the cat looked down at her, "Then, what is it?"

"If Natsu made such an explosion, shouldn't the animals be scared and go away?" Carla stated the obvious, Y/n growing startled at her extreme perception. The shirtless, black haired male nodded along with her statement, brows furrowing. "Yeah, so what?" She pointed a paw at Y/n, making her freeze slightly.

"So, why is that bird still here?"
