Episode 74: Welcome to the World!

"LECTOR ISN'T PREGNANT," He awkwardly cleared up, coughing as he stood in front of the librarian at the front desk. She just nodded. Sting was well known throughout in Crocus, much like the rest of the Sabertooth members. However, the only cat that he was known to talk to was Lector, but he could only hope that the lady didn't take the books the wrong way.

Due to Y/n's odd pregnancy, they had to rely on 'Feline Pregnancy' books, something that Porlyusica claimed was the best bet. Her pregnancy wasn't fully human, after all. Part of it was bound to be animalistic, but it only made things all the more complex. Her pain seemed to be worse and it was hard to even move, so she usually just flopped on the couch.

Lector had become more cat-like and didn't move away from Y/n very much. That's how Sting got here today, Lector-less and a stack of books about feline pregnancy. He wasn't the biggest reader, but due to his girlfriend being nearly illiterate, he didn't have much of a choice. He couldn't rely on Levy doing all of the research.

Akane and Chase were doing their best as well. After hearing about Y/n's full recovery, Galena made sure to drag Chase and Akane to Sting and Y/n's shared apartment, so that they could finally talk. After about an hour of talking, some yelling, and a few hushed whispers, everything was sorted out and their friendship was back on track.

Galena had to return back to her country since she'd taken a chariot without her sister's permission as well; who knows what kind of scolding she'd get from Sonya? She said that she'd be fine, however, so they could just hope that Sonya didn't go too hard on her. After the books were scanned, Sting quickly took them, pink in the cheeks.

The librarian didn't even have to say anything, but he already felt embarrassed.

The walk home wasn't long since Sting didn't even bother walking; he was so embarrassed that he ran. It's one of the things that made him Y/n's idiot. As soon as he unlocked the door, his girlfriend shifted on the couch but didn't bother waking up. Her belly was growing fast, preventing her from rolling into a more comfortable position.

He couldn't help, but quietly laugh when she whined slightly, but reluctantly stayed in the position that she already was in. He set down the books, sighing and beginning to flip through them. After just a few page flips, Y/n shifted awake and yawned. She blinked sleepily, tiredly rubbing her eyes as she sighed.

"Sting?"

Her call was all it took to make him turn his head around, blue eyes blinking back at her in curiosity. "Yeah, babe?" His pet names never failed to make her red as she stared at him, "What're you reading?" He awkwardly closed the book, sheepishly turning to look at her again as he reached a hand towards his neck, scratching the back of it.

"A feline pregnancy book," Sting mumbled. The girl didn't seem fazed in the slightest, reaching one hand to pet Lector's back, the cat still purring and asleep on her right. "Read to me," She said bluntly, the male going pink in the cheeks as he picked up the book and went to sit near her. He knew that she wouldn't be most comfortable if he sat next to her.

Her exhausted, but pretty eyes bored into his in a studious gaze. His heart skipped a beat at the look as he cleared his throat and went back to the page that he was at, speaking quietly in case he woke up Lector. However, it was loud enough for Y/n to hear. Honestly, Y/n didn't care for what he was reading even though it directly correlated to her.

She just wanted to hear his voice. It was calming and it was all she needed to fall back asleep. Sting didn't notice this at first, continuing on about five more pages before pausing when her snores became more obvious. He snorted at the drool that trickled down her lip, finding it adorable nonetheless.

Sting trekked to the bedroom, grabbing a blanket before covering his three loved ones with the blanket. "Sweet dreams," He kissed her forehead, sighing and flipping through the calendar afterward. He looked at the circled date. "Just three more months. . . " The blond muttered.

Three months passed by quickly and it didn't take rocket science to figure out when Y/n went into labor. She had screamed in agony while Levy was over, the girl responsible for watching over the pregnant woman. Y/n was initially napping, but the pain turned out to be too much for her. Y/n—by instinct—demanded that she have a natural birth.

However, the human side of her also decided that the safest option towards that would be a water birth. Hence, it wasn't hard to bring out the folded baby pool, call Gajeel to help, and fill it with water script water. Levy left it to Gajeel to contact the others; maybe he wasn't the most reliable, but he turned out to be useful in the situation.

Within twenty minutes, the Fairy Tail dragon slayers, Sabertooth's guild master, Akane, Chase, and Galena made their appearance. Akane had managed to teleport Galena to Crocus, which was incredibly far, so she was left to lean against Chase for support. "Oh my God, this is happening. It's really happening. EVERYONE STAY CALM!"

The white-haired male screamed to no one in particular as Gajeel shut him up with an iron beam to the face. Akane nearly fell over if it wasn't for Carla's quick catching skills. She was the only exceed that was brought with them since she was at least mature enough to view this. Pantherlily turned out to be too squeamish.

It took hours of screams, Wendy and Galena's combined healing, and Sting's hand being crushed before their child was finally born. Y/n's breaths froze for a second and there was a tense silence before the crying ensued. Galena brought the baby out slowly as Wendy carefully cut the umbilical cord.

She smiled at the baby, checking his vitals with a green-ish hand. "It's a boy." Galena smiled widely.
