Episode 47: Blackout Daze!

"WHAT'S UP WITH HER?" Rogue spoke, taking a drink from his sip of water. He looked towards Yukino—Y/n's roommate—sighed and looked at her small cup of tea that she had made for herself. "I don't know. She woke up in the middle of the night though and she refused to go back to sleep, so I just stayed up with her too."

Minerva sipped from her coffee, looking Yukino up and down with a studious gaze as she nodded. "Yeah, that much is obvious." Yukino sighed and rested her chin on the palm of her right hand, elbow digging into the bar. Rogue glanced over at her before taking another drink of his water, "She's probably just adjusting. After all, she grew up around them."

Yukino nodded, silently agreeing. Minerva looked over at Rogue, "Want to go on a mission?" He gave her a curt nod and the two tore off a paper from the mission board, stalking out of the guild. Y/n watched them, head in her arms as she attempted to get some shuteye. Each time, she would fail. She's just like the others. The statement rang in her head.

She'd never really thought about that sentence and it had never stuck in her head, but why was it so adamant on bothering her now? A scowl shaped her lips as she grew irritated, deciding to get rid of her anger through a mission. Tearing off a paper from the guild's mission board, her eyes landed on her right forearm, the Sabertooth guild mark in an f/c boldly stamped on her skin.

She briefly stared at it before turning back around and heading out of the guild. A hand quickly landed on her shoulder, startling her. Turning on her heel, her face was parallel to Sting's. His cobalt eyes held concern and confusion, "Hey, you okay? Yukino told me that you didn't get to sleep much last night. Is it because of the new environment and all?"

He seemed genuinely concerned. For some reason, Y/n felt like she owed him enough to at least be slightly honest. The two were a lot closer compared to her relations to the other members and he was equally as open towards her, so it was only fair. She shook her head, "I had a nightmare. It wasn't anything bad; it was more like a flashback." Y/n muttered.

Sting nodded, brows furrowing. "Do you want to talk about it?" Y/n grimaced briefly, shaking her head quickly as she stammered for a response. "N-No, I'd rather not. I appreciate your concern, though." She smiled fondly at him as he grinned back, tilting his head. "Yeah, of course! I'm always here for you, no matter what. Where are you going anyways?"

He blinked at her curiously. In all honesty, his expression was incredibly adorable. Her cheeks pinked as she slowly handed him the paper. He read it, a smile on his face. "Oh, cool! Can I join you? I'd really rather not work on paperwork and Minerva left, so—" She nodded quickly, cutting him off as a boyish grin shaped his lips.

"I'll go get Lector; be right back!"

He soon returned with the maroon exceed following behind him. The cat was bouncing up and down, rambling on and on about how the vulcans they were going to deal with didn't stand a chance because of their 'powerful duo'. Y/n watched on with a sheepish smile, Sting cheering on as well and appreciating his little buddy's support.

Watching him, she blinked briefly, seeing something else for a second. Shaking her head, Y/n looked down at her hand, trying to get a grip on reality. She grew confused, brows furrowing as she saw blood on her right hand instead. The warm and tingling feeling of her tattoo returned as her vision suddenly blacked out.

She felt extracted from her own body, confused as she watched from what felt like up above. A scream left her throat when 'Y/n' lunged at Sting, claws replacing her nails as fur sprouted from her arm. A wolf-like growl left her lips as she charged at Sting again, failing when the male countered with his own white dragon iron fist.

Lector quickly flew up, his words muffled to Y/n. It must've been something about getting help since he went as fast as he could. Sting was saying something as well, but her hearing felt like she was stuck deep underwater. Another screech left her lips as Y/n managed to land a scratch on Sting's right forearm, the boy hissing in displeasure.

Knowing this was far from the usual girl, he spun around and kicked her abdomen, sending her flying. It was far from his actual potential of power, so he was still holding back. Wiping his lips, he prepared for another attack, but there was none. Y/n's back was against a tree, her head that was once hanging down, moving up as her eyesight cleared back up.

Feeling as if she was in her own body, Y/n looked down at her own hands confusedly. A drained emotion washed over her as she slumped off of the tree and onto the ground, dirt dusting across her white cloak. "Help. . . " She whispered, passing out. Sting paused for a moment, unsure if she was actually passed out. He slowly approached her, shaking her.

With a concerned gaze, he quickly scooped her up and ignored the injury on his forearm. His maroon exceed flew back swiftly, landing and relaxing his wings as Rogue and Minerva followed his trail. They ran over, Minerva's brows furrowing. "Lector told us she attacked you; what the Hell got into her?!" She exclaimed, staring at the girl's limp form.

Sting seemed unsure, mumbling. "I don't know either, but we should get her to the guild first."

Heading back to the guild, the group ran into a frantic Yukino. Pants left her lips as she looked up at Sting, "Oh, good. I was about to get you since Lucy just contacted me. Apparently, Nikos went berserk all of a sudden and Natsu had to knock him out. I-I wanted to see if she would do the same." The guild master pursed his lips, a sigh leaving them.

"Yeah, she did too."
