It was the call that woke them.
"Rizzoli-Isles." Jane said. She covered her mouth. "What? Jane." Maura put her hand on Jane's shoulder.
"Yeah. She'll be there. Why did you call me?" Jane asked.
Silence.
"But...yes sir I understand." Jane hung up.
"What?" "Terrorists attacked Fenway and the Pentagon again. They need you at ground zero and I have to meet up with the other reserves and we're getting shipped out tonight."
"No! Why!? God no!!" Maura screamed causing all of the kids to run in.
"Mom, what's-" Tony was cut off.
"Terrorism." Maura sobbed.
Jane put her hand on Maura's shoulder before standing up.
"Terrorists have attacked and I have been called to go to base out in Afghanistan. I don't know how long I will be gone for. I love every one of you." Jane said. Everyone stood still. Kate and Abree broke down and hugged Jane first.
Brady joined followed by Maura.
"Tony?" Jane asked. "You promised after you got your memory back that you would never leave." Tony said.
"Tony, I was the bottom of the list...but the President has called us to serve." Jane went to her bedside table and pulled out Brayden's dog tags.
"Your Mom's brother gave these to me before he passed away. I want you to have them." She put them around his neck.
He hugged her.
Everyone hugged Jane.
"Okay. I, uh, I have to go." Jane said.
Maura kissed Jane, "I love you."
"I know." Jane whispered.
