I've gotten your letters and I have only been able to recently been able to respond.
It's hot as hell out here, but it is what it is.
Serving this time around is a lot more difficult than the deployments where I've nearly died.
I'm too old compared to much of the platoon. The oldest is me, the youngest is eighteen.
I'm 45 and this kid is only four years older than you, Bree.
Anyways you might not hear from me in a while, I am going undercover and I don't know how long I will be.
