Box or a Bag

Maura paced as she watched Jane sleep.

It had been two weeks since she had left to be with Jane and nothing had improved. Jane would open her eyes every now and then, but no change.

She had called the kids a little bit ago and they were okay, but missing her.

Her head turned as a knock landed on the door, "Knock knock." In walked in a brunette doctor. She had on a lab coat with a navy blue scrub cap with fireworks on it.

"I'm Doctor Amelia Shepherd, I got a call from head of surgery here and came in to see what's going on with Jane." She stuck her hand out.

"I'm Maura, her wife." Maura softly said. "I recognize your name, I think you've worked with a former colleague of mine...uh Doctor Montgomery?" "Yes, I did, but that was several years ago."

"Well, I'll make sure to ask if she remembers ya. Now, I'm guessing you're curious as why I came all the way here, I was too, trust me. The head of nuero here might have a guess to why you were attacked." Amelia says sitting down.

"No..." Maura whispers. "It's a guess right now, but we're gonna do an MRI and I'm gonna come up with a plan...okay?" Amelia squeezed her hand.

Maura nods, sadly. "Hey," Amelia smiled, "I promise with everything I have that if there is something there, that I'll do everything in my power to make sure she doesn't end up in a box or a bag."

Hey y'all, sorry for this update that is way past due. To be honest I straight up forgot about this story, but I'm gonna try and start updating this.

Also, I am gonna bring in Amelia Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy for a few chapters and who knows, maybe another face will show up.
