Amy walked into the park with a frown.

Deborah wasn't speaking to her. What exactly happened in that car with Dustin? What did he say to her that made her worse than she already is?

Amy sat on a bench, a woman was also on the same bench. She held a leash with a dog buckled to it, the dog sat next to her legs which where crossed. The woman wore dark sunglasses and had a long stick held tightly in her other hand.

She was blind.

Amy sat on the bench quietly, so she would disturb the woman and pulled out her phone. She wanted to call Deborah again, maybe she would answer this time-

"Hey there."

Amy almost jumped off her seat and glanced at the person beside her.

The woman let out a laugh, her laugh was comforting and contagious, it seemed to make Amy feel less annoyed. So she laughed too.

"I hope I didn't startle you too much." The woman teased. Amy shook her head in amusement.

"Not too much ma'am." Amy said. "How. . . how did you even know I was here?"

"I heard you." The woman replied "You weren't as quiet as you intended to be, little ninja." The woman said. "I could hear you from a mile away."

Amy suddenly felt embarrassed. Was she that bad at sneaking?

Amy turned on her phone and glanced at the multiple unread text messages she sent to Deborah with a frown on her face.

"Why the frown?" The woman asked.

"How did you know I was frowning?" Amy asked surprised.

"I didn't." The woman said. "You just told me." Amy stared at the woman as if she was crazy. "Works every time."

"That's smart." Amy complemented with a laugh.

"Thank you." The woman replied. "Now, why the frown."

Amy looked at the park in thought. How can she tell a complete stranger about her problems? Especially one that acts funny, is it safe?

"Nothing. Never mind." She replied.

"Don't lie to me." The woman scolded. Amy noticed the wrinkles on her face and strands of gray in her hair, she realized the woman wasn't very young. "You can tell me, even though I'm a complete stranger. I'll listen."

"I don't know - I just have a lot on my mind I guess." Amy didn't stop speaking. She felt too frustrated to just keep it inside, no-one would listen. So why not? "My best friend won't talk to me."

"Are you two fighting?"

"No" Amy replied. "Something I don't know about happened, and now she won't speak to me."

"If you really want to speak to her, why don't you go to her house?" The woman suggested.

"She won't let me in."
