Nothing is worse than the pain a mother feels watching her child pass away, but being completely useless in the matter.

She couldn't do anything to save her daughter and it broke her.

The doctor asked if she was ready to take off the oxygen mask so they could let Amy go.

She said no. Again.

Amy will not leave without saying a proper goodbye, this will not be the last memory of her. She thought.

The mother sat on the chair next to Amy's bed, for a few seconds she stared at her beautiful daughter adoringly and let the tears fall.

"We will miss you my little strawberry," she said, using her childhood nickname.

"I will miss you, dear." She continued.

She sighed and looked down at her thighs sniffing.

"I'm so sorry I failed you," she mumbled with a small sob, "I'm a terrible mother.

"I did everything I could Amy, I'm so sorry. I wish I could take your place, you don't deserve this." She cried.

"I'm so sorry."

She felt guilty.
