I tried to sleep, but I couldn't.

I know i'm safe, but i doesn't feel like it.

I'm not safe from myself.

I feel so disgusting and so scared.

It's currently 6 in the morning and I have slept for 2 hours.

Everytime I closed my eyes I saw everything happen over and over again

I softly let go of Aspen's hand holding mine and stroked her cheek.

I grabbed my phone and went out the room.

Not realizing I wasn't wearing much clothing and my bruises showed all over my body.

I walked downstairs and saw a empty living room.

I guess they all decided to sleep upstairs and share rooms.

I grabbed myself a cup of coffee and walked to the backyard.

I placed myself in the exact same spot as one of the first mornings I got here.

I let my thoughts and emotions take over.

'Why didn't you see me?' I whispered with tears streaming down my face.

I looked up to the sky.

'Why didn't you see me?! I prayed for you every night' I continued with tears floating down my face.

'Will you see me now? Please help me father.' I whispered.

I looked at the view and slowly tried to calm down.

'Tessa? Are you okay?' I heard Daniel's voice behind me.

'I am far from fine..' i whispered.

Daniel sat next to me.

'You can talk to me' he said with his eyes staring at my face.

'I don't know? Can I?' I said facing him.

'W-what do you mean?' He said.

'What if I say something wrong and it get's you hurt again. All of this happened because of me.. Luke's stupid game with me being the main price. I should've known..' I whispered crying.

'Hey! None of this is on you!' Daniel said and placed his hands on my cheeks.

'I wanted to die Daniel.' I cried.

'Every minute I was there, I wanted to die.'

I stood up and walked away from Daniel.

'Tessa stop! Where are you going?' He said standing up and following me.

'I don't know! I know nothing anymore!' I screamed.

'Oh my god.. Luke did that you..' daniel said looking at my body that was covered with my bruises.

'Yeah that's why you walked away yesterday right?! Because you think i'm disgusting! Cause that's how I feel, disgusting!' I screamed.

I have no idea why i'm screaming at Daniel.

He did nothing wrong.

I guess it's just all the emotions taking over.

'No! God no!' Daniel started and walked closer to me.

I wanted to walk away but I was frozen.

'You are far from disgusting. I walked away because when you told what you went trough, It killed me.' He continued and grabbed my hands.

'I couldn't keep you safe. I didn't keep you safe.. but i am not losing you again! So please.. talk to me' he said.

I looked him in his eyes.

He wiped away some of my tears and I let myself fall in his chest.

'Please don't let me go.' I whispered.

'Never.' He said and held onto me tight.

'Never in a million years' he whispered and stroked my hair.

We stayed in that position for a while.

I let out a big yawn, cause I was still very tired.

'Are you tired?' He whispered while making circles on my back.

I nodded my head.

'C'mon' he said and grabbed my hand

He slowly guided me inside and I placed myself on the couch.

Daniel grabbed a blanket and put it over me.

'If anything's wrong, i'm gonna be right there, okay?' He said and pointed to the kitchen.

'W..wait, wil you stay with me until i fall asleep?' I whispered looking at him.

'Yeah, of course.' He said

Daniel started making circles on my back again and I slowly closed my eyes.

'If the sky falls I'll catch it, just to steal you a star. I'll ride into battle for you just so we could, we could be free, we could be free.
