"How bad is it?" Avi asked Scott who was scrolling through a few things on this phone with a dark expression on his face. They had just woken up and the blonde decided to check his phone first, because Avi was way too comfortable cuddled up in his sheets and also a little too anxious to face whatever the media had come up with.

Scott sighed. "Very bad" he said. "The I don't want you to read anything of this - kind of bad. But Mitch texted us. He says he loves us no matter what and that we are wonderful."

Avi nodded. "He's the one who's wonderful" he returned with a smile on his face. "But like... can you at least tell me what it's all about? Like the news and the tweets and everything. Is it a lot?"

Scott looked up from his phone with a pained expression on his face. "The tabloids accusing us of cheating on Mitch, of playing with this heart and everything. And their choice of language is a very low blow" he explained.

Avi flinched. "And Twitter? How are the fans dealing with everything?"

"Well" scott began. "They seem to be kind of twisted. Some of them are really portraying me as being a bad best friend for apparently hooking up with you, I guess? Others attack you because to them you're cheating on Mitch. Then again there are those who just want everyone to let us be because it is our life and our decision to make. And I feel that quite a few are suspecting that we're actually in a three-way relationship. At least that's what I make out of their wording..."

Avi needed a moment to let the information Scott just gave him sink in. "Ok" he then simply said, completely unable to show any kind of feelings.

"Are you though?" Scott shot back, putting his phone away and turning back to the bearded man. He raised his hand to push a strand of hair out of his boyfriend's face.

Avi looked up at Scott and shrugged his shoulders. "I really don't know. I still feel like we should have joined Mitch in Texas, but I also know that it was not possible. I haven't even read these articles but still I can't deny the fact that in a way they are be right. I mean we might be cheating on him technically but not because we are doing things behind his back, but because we left him alone."

Scott shook his head immediately. "No, Avi, we are not going there right now." he turned his head so he was facing his boyfriend and looked him in the eyes. "Please don't even start believing anything that they're writing about. I love you. Mitch loves you. Never forget that."

"I know and you both know that I reciprocate" Avi replied with a flat voice. "But still we are leaving him alone" he then insisted. "Don't you think?"

Scott sighed. "I feel guilty" he confessed. "I mean even though we talked about how we are going to handle the situation and Mitch agreed, what we're doing right now is just not right to me. Especially last night when you were talking to him on the phone, I felt so bad. I mean we're here, together, going out and also enjoying life a little bit and Mitch? He is in Texas, alone."

Avi listened to his boyfriend's words and couldn't help the tears streaming down his face. "Scott..." he simply said, looking at him in awe.

Scott, who was shedding a few tears as well, simply shrugged his shoulders. "I'm just being honest..."

Avi wordlessly pulled the taller man into his arms and just held him, enjoying the comfort Scott's arms offered not without the hint of guilt that was nagging at him. Yet, for the moment being, they had said everything and therefore fell silent.

The two men stayed in the embrace for a while until Scott got up with a sigh. "I'll go and take a shower, we're meeting with the others in Esther's room in half an hour."
