"We are getting married." Scott pressed out the words, disbelief evident in his voice as he fell down on the sofa, still fully dressed.
"Technically, it's a promise ceremony" Mitch added as he dropped down next to him. "But still, I am excited beyond belief."
Avi was the only one who took off his coat and shoes before he joined them. "It's a dream, I think..." Avi replied. "At least it feels like it."
"It is not" Mitch spoke up. "Believe me you'll realise once we're in the midst of planning. And there is a lot to do, remember what Gregory said. I have a huge to do list in my head and I cannot wait to start working on it."
"I feel like starting right away..." Avi confessed. "Maybe it'll help me realise that our dream is coming true?"
Scott sat up and looked at his fiancés. "I mean... it's still early" he said. "We could start looking at venues? Or do you want to talk about the ceremony and everything connected to it?"
"Venues?" Avi asked. "I feel like I'm not in the headspace to really talk these things just yet, it's a lot to me..."
"I get that. It is a lot to process, a lot of decisions we have to make" Mitch replied with a smile on his face. "Venues is it for now. And food. And cake..."
"I'll get my laptop." Scott got up. "Oh and I don't think we need to try a lot of bakeries, I think I want the bakery Kirstie chose for her wedding."
"Yes" Mitch replied. "Me too. We would need to schedule an appointment with them to talk about what we want and whether they can do it, though..."
"We'll do that tomorrow... or next week, after all we have six months..." Scott replied as he left the room and ran upstairs to get his computer.
They had planned to hold their ceremony in the summer, shortly before they would go on their trip to Italy. It would be their honeymoon even though Mitch argued that they didn't have to go with his idea to go there.
"Think about us driving through Tuscany, stopping in the evening in a little romantic hotel where we drink some lovely Italian red wine and have pizza or pasta... to me this is the epitomy of a perfect honeymoon" Avi had said.
"I want this vacation to be our honeymoon" Scott had added.
To that Mitch had smiled and nodded. "Okay... Italy it is."
Scott was back in the living room minutes later with his laptop in his hand. "And we definitely need to have a place before we start planning everything else."
"True..." Avi added as the tall blonde sat down in between him and Mitch.
"Wait... before we do this. Shouldn't we talk to Esther first and block the date?" Mitch mused. "I mean, just to be sure."
"I understand, but it is definitely too late in Nashville" Avi replied. "We could do it tomorrow. She's going to flip."
"And then we need to tell our parents and friends and..." Scott shook his head. "This is going to be more work than I thought."
"True, but..." Mitch replied. "Remember, only close friends and family. The great thing about his ceremony is that it is not a wedding and we can get away with only inviting whomever we want."
"Even with close friends and family, this is going to be huge" Scott replied. "Oh and... I want Landon to be the ring-bearer? Are we going to have ring-bearers?"
Mitch giggled. "Of course. And yes, the nieces and nephews and godchildren will have their moment, ring bearers, flower girls and boys... whatever we need."
