It was just dawning, when Avi went downstairs. He couldn't sleep anymore and needed some fresh air. Coffee and fresh air. He closed the door behind himself and furrowed his brows when he noticed that the door to their shared bedroom was wide open. When he peeked inside he noticed that the bed was still set up in the way he had left it the night before. With a soft sigh, the bearded man turned away and walked downstairs, headed for the kitchen. When he, however, looked into the living room, he saw a tall person lying on the sofa. The quiff of blonde hair sticking out of the mess of pillows and blankets made it obvious that it was Scott.
Avi swallowed hard when he took the image of his boyfriend curled up on the sofa in a position that just couldn't be comfortable. "Oh Scotty..." he said softly and approached his sleeping boyfriend. "Hey..." he said softly as he kneeled down next to the couch. He raised his hand and carefully ran his fingers through Scott's hair. "Love..."
Scott stirred slightly, groaning softly as he woke up. "What..." he mumbled and looked around. "Avi?"
"Why are you sleeping on the sofa?" Avi asked softly as Scott sat up slowly.
Scott shrugged his shoulders. "Didn't want to be alone in the big bed."
"Mitch?" Avi asked.
"His room. Said we should sleep alone tonight. Why did you sleep in your room?" Scott asked back.
Avi just shook his head. "Not now. not without Mitch. But still, you cannot sleep on the sofa. Your back, your scoliosis. It's not healthy."
"Avi..." Scott began with a tired voice.
"Go to bed, Love. We'll talk later. For now you need your sleep and I need some time to think... on my own" Avi said. He softly pecked Scott's head. "Come on. Upstairs you go. Real bed, please."
Scott sighed. "Ok" he said, too exhausted to argue. "But we'll talk later? For sure?"
"We will." Avi smiled at him and looked after him when he slowly climbed the stairs, before he went into the kitchen to prepare himself a mug of coffee and then walked outside into the garden.
Scott on the other hand walked upstairs, past his own bedroom and into Mitch's. He didn't care about the fact that Mitch had wanted to sleep alone, he was just tired and needed some comfort. So he lied down next to his boyfriend and pulled him in.
"Hmmmhm..." Mitch hummed in his sleep.
"Sleep Dear, it's just me..." Scott returned softly as he settled up with Mitch resting against his chest.
"Mmhm..." Mitch snuggled up closer to the blonde, not even waking up.

"Scotty?"
Scott stirred when he heard Mitch's soft voice. "Hmmm... what is it?"
"I need to pee but you're holding me damn tight" Mitch returned with a smile on his face. "Let me go, please?"
"Of course. Wanna stay up? I talked to Avi this morning and he promised a talk later on..." Scott explained as Mitch was slowly getting up and stretching his arms.
"You talked to him?" Mitch asked. "Tell me more?"
Scott sat up as well. "I slept on the sofa, because I didn't want to sleep in the huge bed alone and well... he woke me up early this morning and sent me to sleep in a real bed."
"You shouldn't have slept on the sofa, that's for sure" Mitch explained to Scott. "But he wants to talk to us? What did he say, was he in a bad mood?"
"He wants to talk, yes. He didn't say much. Only that I should go and sleep in a real bed while he takes some time on his own to think, you know? And mood wise... he seemed to be okay, but I was probably half asleep. I remember him calling me Love though. And he kissed my temple, just the way he usually would."
