Chapter 28

"Whyyyyyy..." Scott whined when the alarm shrilled through the bedroom early the next morning.

"Because you need to shoot a video, Love" Avi, who reached out and silenced it, returned. He leaned in and kissed Scott's temple.

"But... I'm sore and achy..." Scott pouted.

"Think I'm better off?" Mitch mumbled.

Avi chuckled. "Come on loves, that's nothing a hot shower won't fix. I'm on cleaning duty since I only have to be at the studio this afternoon."

Mitch cracked an eye open. "Really?" He asked. "You're an angel."

Avi chuckled. "And I haven't even offered to prepare coffee and breakfast..."

"You know how much I love you, right?" Scott commented.

"I have a vague idea" Avi shot back as he got up. "I'll shower in the other bathroom and meet you downstairs, okay? When do you need to leave?"

"Hmm... an hour or so" Scott replied. "Enough time for a shower and breakfast." He looked at Mitch. "Shower with me?"

Mitch smiled back at him and sat up slowly. "Always, Scotty."

After a quick, but thorough shower, Scott and Mitch got dressed and joined Avi downstairs for a quick breakfast of coffee, Greek yoghurt and fresh fruits Avi had prepared for them.

"Thank you" Mitch said once he was finished. "That was just what I needed to start this day."

Avi smiled at him. "Well... I know it's going to be a long day with the shoot and everything, so I wanted to treat you to something good."

"And you did just that" Scott said and sighed softly. "I hate to leave you alone with the cleaning and stuff..."

"You'd do the same if I was busy" Avi stated. "And now finish your coffee and get going, you don't wanna be late to your own shoot..."

Mitch emptied his coffee in one go and took both his cup and his bowl. "No, that would be embarrassing"  he said.

Scott and Avi followed him into the kitchen and once they had put their dishes in the dishwasher, Avi pulled Mitch in for a long hug. "Have fun today and shoot a kick ass video." After letting go of Mitch, he turned to Scott.

"We will do our very best. It's going to take a while though, it's very complex" Scott explained as he was hugging the bearded man. "Lots of different sets, lots of small scenes and stuff. If it gets late and we're too busy to text, just don't wait for us, okay?"

Avi nodded. "I won't. And just in case I'll be too immersed in songwriting and decide to do an all nighter at the studio, you don't wait up either, alright?"

Scott chuckled. "Yes, Sweetheart." He kissed his boyfriend tenderly. "See you tonight or tomorrow."

"Yes, Love" Avi returned. "And now, off you go."

It was late at night, around 1.30 , when Scott and Mitch were finally finished with their shoot. They were so tired that Scott left his car at the studio and they took an uber. When they arrived at home, they found their boyfriend already asleep in their shared bedroom. 

"Shall we sleep in your room?" Scott whispered. "I don't want to wake him up..."

Mitch nodded. "We should. But I'll write a message telling him that he can join us for cuddles when he gets up..." 

Scott smiled at him. "Such a thoughtful idea..." he said. 

"Mmmhm..." Mitch hummed. "I'll be with you, in a minute."
