I sat down on the couch and remembered the little heart locket I had in my hand the day I woke up. Pulling it out of my jeans I held it in my hands. On the locket said, I love you. I opened it. Inside was a picture of me and Oliver. We looked like...like a married couple. Though we never even reached the dating stage.
I touched his face on the picture and held it close to my chest.
" Oh... Oliver." I said turning on the TV. I fell asleep to Spongebob.
" Brittany wake up!! " My mother shook me. I groaned.
" Whaaa!! " I said sitting up.
" Flip it on the news!!! "
She said grabbing the remote before me. She flipped the channel on the news and I gawked at the screen. On the news strip was ' Bring Me The Horizons Oliver Sykes Big Come Down.' He pushed cameras out of the way and cussed through his teeth. He looked different. Well except for the new hair cut. He seemed like a different Oliver. Not the old Oliver I used to know.. the one I fell in love with. I grabbed the remote and shut the screen off. Holding my legs.
" Are you OK? " My mother asked. I nodded and took a look at the locket again. In this tiny peice of gold was memories that I knew forever. Memories that were more precious than any fame..or fortune. And I withheld these memories.. Hopefully Oliver did too...maybe only in his mind.
