Chapter 51- Plans

I nervously exited the car, the car keys dangling   at my sides. Qe'Ana stood at the doorway her arms crossed and a worried crease at the bride of  her nose.

" Where were you? "

I sighed.

" I'm fine Qe'Ana it just took me some time to get past the tolls and hectic  traffic." I lied.

The honest truth was that I was really lounging around not really keeping track of time. I wasn't in the mood for questions. I looked up into the sky where the moon  shimmered against the winds

belt.

" It's late, come inside.. and I'll  make you some hot chocolate and fetch some crackers."

I dragged  my body along the stairs, handing the keys over to Qe'Ana  and sprawling out against  the plush couch.

" Long day? " I jumped realizing it was Ben's voice I settled in the cushions  once more. I nodded throwing  a pillow over  my eyes and yawning.

" Tommorows gonna be tough, I have to be in the studio all day. So we're trying to party it up tonight,"

" Tonight? You guys are going out? "

I hadn't entirely  noticed Qe'Ana's  tight black  dress and red stilettos until she was giving me Saltine crackers from the kitchen.

" Yeah, that's  why I was hoping you'd  come early. I wanted to go shopping since you have like..nothing but tanks and skinnies to wear."

" That's  alright you guys go along. I'll be here. "

Qe'Ana frowned lifting the pillow from my face and giving me a doggy pout.

" Are you sure I have a summer dress-"

" It's cool. I'm  totally  fine, it'll give me time alone to think. " She squeezed my shoulder and made her way out of the house.

OLIVER POV-

" It's nice to see you man, you didn't come last time and I missed you..."

" Yeah, I was sick.. so I couldn't make it. " Danny (Worsnop) lifted his glass from the table and brought it up to his lips.

" I heard it was a fun night."

I nodded, though I knew it wasn't true. That was the time when Drew came to the party and I punched him for messing with Brittany.

" Hey Oliver. It's really nice to finally meet you."

" Oh, Angelika.  Danny's  girlfriend right? "

She nodded.

" Actually.  Fiance. This cheeseball proposed a week ago."

He smiled and grabbed her by the waist. I looked away, not out of disgust or out of self pity. But because it hurt to see them so happy.  It reminded  me of Brittay, what we could've had.. All gone to waste.

" Hey guys!! "

My head whipped around to find Ben tackling Danny  from the side,  Qe'Ana  Ben's girlfriend taking a seat next to Angelika  on the other side.

" Ben? I-I thought you were with.."

" Brittany? She told me everything man.. I'm  sorry. "

" Is she here? "

He shook his head and I bit the side of my cheek.

" Oh, Well could you tell her I said I was sorry. And that we need to talk soon."

" Sure man, whatever you need. "

I nodded and made my way outside the pub. Running my hands through my  hair and cupping my cheeks I forced tears not to escape my eyes.

" One day, I'll find you.. And we'll  be together again.."
