" Umm..Are you OK? " Oliver asked taking a sip of his soda. " You didn't touch a nacho...and you love nachos! " I sighed and pulled a hair behind my ear lobe. Butterflies flying along in the pit of my stomach.
I swallowed.
" Yeah, I'm sorry! I'm just...uhhh..still a little freaked about my getting back on the ice..and everything." I lied. I mean... I was freaked about me breaking my promise to myself but that wasn't what was bothering me now. I must tell him. He deserves to know! Geez when did it get so hard to talk to Oli??
" Oh, I get it. Its OK Britt. Its gonna take some time to sink in. "
I froze and tensed up.
" For what to sink in?!?! " I dug my finger nails in the table. Did he know?!
" Uhh... You skating again.." He raised an eyebrow. I exhaled.
" Oh..Right."
I felt stupid! I was all shakin up and tense about everything! I needed to loosen up a bit.
" Are you sure your-"
" Yes. I'm fine..I just need to use the restroom and comprehend everything." I awkwardly staggered to my feet and sped walked to the bathroom. When I reached the mirror I pulled out my phone and hit 'Call.' I held the phone up to my ear. Tapping my foot and getting goose bumps as my nerves grew to its highest peak. A lady answered at the first ring.
" This is Harvard State University, I'm Diane how may I help you? " Her voice seemed to chim in my ears. I almost forgot to speak.
" I just received a call today from Harvard. I just wanted to know if I was going to recieve any information of such.. or something. " I stuttered.
" Ahh yes. Is this Brittany Adams? "
I nodded forgetting that she couldn't see me.
" Why yes it is." I said with much more confidence than I felt.
" Well Hello Brittany, we have been itching to finally consult with you. Why don't you stop by the campus and we could discuss your education purposes. What time do you think you'll be available."
I breathed.
" Monday. We will be in town. Precisely 1 A.M. "
" Alright. That is perfect. See you then Ms.Adams. " And with that she hung up.
