Like season to season
Leaves fall and come to life again and again
It's all for nothing
Except to let you appreciate
Nature nurtures like a mother
And tutors as a mentor
Appreciate the beauty of the trees
Before the frost bites the leaves
And you're down on your knees
You'll beg and you'll plead
Asking to once more look up to the leaves
You're the flower
And I'm the frost
Collecting everything that can't be lost
Misguided attempts at watering the daisies
Let the sun flow down
The winter creeps
A storms brewing
The clouds settle in
The flowers won't bloom
Summer hides their face
They bow their heads to the sun
Winter looms
To the flowers in the garden
But one stands still
The one that won't wilt
That won't bow to the sun
The frost enters in
The flowers encased within
Eternalized in gelid glass
Never to shatter
Never to melt
Appreciating the beauty
That nature has birthed
The winter will never end
