He's late.

Your heart drops.

You have been sitting in the snow at the bottom of a deep valley for twenty minutes. You were ten minutes earlier than stated by Law two days ago, before he ran away.

Shachi and Penguin haven't reported back to you with any news for if he is coming or not and you have been growing more and more worried.

Your crowned ibak waits patiently beside you as you shift nervously then plonk down into the snow causing the two blades on your left side to clang together. The noise echoes through the valley and small white coloured creatures sprint away from the startling noise.

You grab your knees and hold them close to your chest, staring sadly at the cold powder that coats the ground.

Another ten minutes pass with you sitting on the cold ground, curled up and contemplating your next move. You should probably leave if he's not going to show up and that seems to be the case. Still, you can't help but hold a tiny bit of hope that he will show up.

You rest your head on your knees.

It's as if Law has dropped off the edge of the world. There has been no sign of life from him since you met him in the park two days ago.

"What did I do?" You mumble.

"You challenged me to a fight." A masculine voice replies from behind you.

You jump forwards onto your feet and spin around to face Law so you are a couple of metres away from him, hands reaching for the blades on your side.

"Well look who is getting straight into battle mode." Law smirks, casually resting his sheathed nodachi on his shoulder.

You keep your stance and try to switch the relieved expression that is on your face for a glare. It's difficult to try look angry when you feel so happy but you think you have it down.

"You owe me an explanation." You demand, struggling to keep up the furious aura. "It's rude to stop replying to people without any hint as to why."

You remove the longer blade from its sheath dramatically and point it towards him.

His smirk grows wider and he hefts the nodachi down from his shoulder and it falls into his other hand.

"What if I only give you the answers if you win." He suggests slyly.

You pause to contemplate the little bet he is setting up.

"And what will happen if you win?" You interrogate. He thinks about it for a bit.

"We'll cross that bridge once we get to it." He decides, pulling his nodachi out of its sheath.

"If we get to it." You correct, pulling your own blades from their sheaths at your side. They are both fairly short but one is longer and wider and the other is shorter but thin.

"Those are different from normal." Law observes. You usually use long ranged weaponry but Law has good speed stats so will be harder to hit, especially in a close ranged battle.

The two of you stand ready to fight and start circling around each other.

You shut out your surroundings, making sure that all of your focus is on him.

You're angry now. Who is he to ghost you without any excuse and then start a bet for the explanation.

You know he is your friend and you still care for him as such but you are fuming. You have been panicking over the past two days and he shows up late smirking and reluctant to explain his behaviour at the park.
