A few days had passed since your last date with Law. You had begun to be more public with your affection towards him, even cuddling with him online with the Mugiwara tribe present. They were all rather surprised but supportive, even Sanji who is insanely jealous of every girl he meets. But every single one of them still tried to warn you about the dangers of dating someone who you met online.
As if you didn't know about dangerous people.
You couldn't really tell them why you trust him so much as revealing part of the truth could easily pull apart the entire lie. So for now all of your friends will just have to be suspicious and untrusting of him.
You find that it is a huge relief to finally be open about everything and your relationship with Law has gotten better from it.
Sure enough during Nami's five hour talk about your relationship with Law she had mentioned the problems that could come with hiding a relationship. Sure you don't have to tell everyone that you meet but keeping it a secret can make your partner feel insignificant depending on the circumstances.
All in all your talk with Nami was more beneficial than it was embarrassing. Your three closest friends told you things to look out for that you never would have thought of and gave you ways to handle many different situations.
The dates themselves along with the appearance upkeep that they had wanted to talk about only took up a small portion of the total conversation. The whole talk was a lot deeper than you had expected and you find yourself really grateful that they had come over to help you out.
Of course at the very end they tried to give you the talk at which point you pushed them out the door with a face as red as a tomato.
Other than that the past few days had been really relaxed. You and your tribe gathered as many resources and as many tames as you could while fighting off Captain's tribe. Once or twice they had been successful and damaged your base or killed a few of your tames.
Luckily through it all Kat survived and became the top tame of the tribe. But she only really listens to you.
You can command her to listen to someone else but after a while she will throw them off her back and run back to you, leaving them alone somewhere in the jungle.
You have taken her out for a few test drives and found that she can climb almost any vertical surface and dig her claws in to stay there if she needs to. This has become especially good for large trees where she is harder to spot so sje can jump down onto the unsuspecting prey or players and kill them in about one hit.
You had managed to pick up a lot more falcons from your time mining on the closest mountain range and found a fire dragon chilling next to a pool of lava. That had been a difficult tame and it had taken your entire tribe working together to finally get it after many unsuccessful attempts.
Vivi spent a lot of time spying on Captain's tribe from a distance using some camouflage gear and her keen senses to keep her unspotted and safe. She had mentioned that the tribe seems to bring in truckloads if resources and tames every day without the tribe members being out for too long.
So far they hadn't gotten any tames as good as the drakes that you had blown up but the sheer number of tames they have is more than enough to make up for it.
Everyday Vivi would return with a list of the tames they had brought in and the next day you would get a nw tame or weapon to counter it.
You log off after a long day of taming and resource gathering to see your mother in the doorway to your room.
