Sanji had insisted that hitting the roads early would be the best idea which came as an unwelcome shock after weeks of sleeping in until the early hours of the afternoon. You are still tired and yawning as you pile into Robin's car with Zoro, Vivi and a lot of bags.
Sanji had stored all of the food with you so Luffy wouldn't eat it all on the drive there. Nami and Usopp will also be going down in Sanji's car with Luffy's dog Chopper, who has taken up a surprisingly large amount of space. And now you are sitting in a hot cramped car surrounded by bags of clothes and boxes of food.
Robin's car is old and doesn't have any air conditioning which is unpleasant on such a hot Summer day.
On top of that Robin and Zoro were talking nonstop with little winks and dirty murmurings that you and Vivi pretend to not notice.
All in all the four hour car ride was hot, cramped and very uncomfortable for you.
Most of the drive is through the hilly countryside. You stare out of the car window at the dried out grass that makes the landscape almost yellow dotted with the shapes of sheep and cattle.
The change from the barren landscape to the thick forest is sudden and welcome as the foliage that hangs over the road offers some protection against the harsh heat of the sun.
The small town where you will be staying is at the far edge of the forest near the beach.
Robin follows Sanji's car right through the town and back into some more trees at the very edge of civilisation.
The driveway is long but eventually you make it to a large wooden house. There is no garage so the cars are parked to the side of the driveway, tucked out of the way.
Everyone unloads the cars while Sanji unlocks the front door and opens all the windows and doors that are inside. Nami keeps a tight grip on Luffy so he stays away from the food. All of the bags and boxes are placed in the entrance area.
"Good job team! I'll show you around and then we can unpack everything." Sanji announces.
He takes you down the hallway of the ground floor which is straight down the centre of the building. To the left is the boys room, as Sanji says, which has two bunk beds and large windows to the forest that are sure to wake everyone up early if Luffy doesn't first. On the right of the hall is a large bedroom with a bunk bed and a queen bed. On the walls are framed sketches of the native birds. The wall at the end of both the beds is completely glass with a sliding door in the middle that leads to a porch and a large grass backyard completely surrounded by trees. There are en suites in each bedroom.
"This is the girls room." Sanji says, "but if you get scared my bed is always open."
Vivi looks concerned by his statement while you, Robin and Nami, who have become used to his nonsense, ignore him.
Sanji guides everyone back to the entrance and up the stairs to a large games room. There's a small games table, a few couches, a bookcase of games and a piano. Through an open archway is a dining room and an open kitchen. Another doorway leads to Sanji's parents room and a bathroom.
Everyone wanders out onto the balcony that hangs over the porch and faces the lawn and the forest. Over the forest you can see the glimmer of light that catches the clear blue waves of the sea that reflect the cloudless sky.
"There's a path through from the lawn to a small beach." Sanji mentions, pointing to a path through the trees. "There is a much more popular beach closer to the town so we will have the spot all to ourselves."
