The visit to your father was cut short when you stormed away from the booth fuming. Your mother finished up speaking to him then quickly followed you.
As soon as you got home you logged on, hoping Law would be there to help you calm yourself down.
The fear you had felt earlier regarding your father had been melted away by the rage towards him.
You take a deep breath as you load in, calming yourself down and readying yourself to talk to your friends.
You log in to chaos.
Your tribe mates are running around the base, gathering weapons and tames. The whole base buzzes with the noise of them talking over one another and the tames making a lot more noise than normal.
Usopp runs past you with his slingshot in hand and you momentarily stop him.
"Are we under attack?" You ask him.
You are instantly tensed up and prepared for a fight.
"No, the Heart tribe is. They need our help." He replies before rushing past you to prepare for the upcoming battle.
You move hastily to the centre of the base where the rest of your tribe are preparing the large falcons.
"(Y/N)!" Robin calls from atop the snow owl. "Do you think you can run Kat over to Law's tribe quickly? Try to pick off the enemies at the back and edges before we get there."
"Okay!" You reply, changing direction towards Kat's enclosure where the large feline is pacing and growling impatiently.
You swing your leg over her back and she takes off in and instant.
The jungle is no match for Kat's dexterity and she sprints through the thick vines as if they don't exist. Her footing is sure and she never trips on any exposed roots.
She bursts out of the jungle and keeps up the pace through the grassland biome, scattering the large grazers of the plains as she goes and almost causing a stampede towards a couple of other players who happened to be in the area.
The biome drastically changes again to the redwood forest.
Kat dashes vertically up the tree until she reaches the thick supportive branches high above the ground. She hardly stops to catch her breath before she is off again, sprinting through the branches as easily and possibly faster than on the solid forest floor below.
She sweeps through the trees, her padded paws barely making a sound. It isn't until she is almost on top of them that the birds roosting in the branches even notice she is there.
With a final bound Kat leaps off the last tree and plummets down to the deep snow below.
The snow is not so easy for Kat. Although she stuck her landing and is off in an instant her bounds become smaller and her stamina drains faster. Pushing through the snow takes a lot of effort and the large feline is already worn thin from the rest of the journey. But she doesn't give up.
The large feline continues to plough through the snow, gradually slowing as she grows tired. You jump off and run by her side.
"Just a little bit further." You urge.
You run ahead a little, just to the top of the final snow bank. You know that Law's base is a little ways over it and you need to assess the battle before you join it.
You reach the top and pull out your spyglass.
The base is a mess.
The snow around it has completely melted and the structures of the base that you can see are either severely burnt or still on fire. It doesn't take long to figure out what caused the carnage.
