Your breathing improves but the after effects of the panic attack leave you shaking and scared. You remain curled up on the floor next to your bed until you hear the doorbell ring.

Even though you know it's Law the little voice in the back of your mind tries to convince you that Vergo has crawled out of whatever grave he was dumped in and is waiting at the door for you.

You force yourself to stand and walk towards the door, taking short, shallow breaths and having to use the wall for support. You make yourself hold back the tears. You're in a bad enough state and crying will just make it worse.

You make it to the door and turn the knob, holding your breath until you see Law on the other side of it.

He hurries inside and swoops you into his arms, holding you and letting you know that everything is fine and that you are safe. One of his hands brushes through your hair as he hugs you in the hallway.

Eventually your breathing evens out and you find yourself more relaxed.

Your heart is still faster than it should be but the impending sense of doom seems to have faded.

"Thanks." You murmur to Law. He hugs you tighter for a second.

When you are ready you talk through what had happened, the both of you still sitting in the hallway. Law keeps his eyes trained on you and does not speak until you are finished.

"So yeah, I got scared because some dicks online virtually tied me to a virtual chair." You sum up.

"(Y/N), that was a panic attack you just had." Law says.

"No way." You dismiss. "I just got a bit frightened and confused."

You lead him through your house and into the kitchen to make a cup of tea to calm yourself down.

"Panic attacks can be serious." Law tries to convince you. "You may need to see someone about it."

"It's only happened once. And this one time was because I was put into a very familiar situation that I don't exactly have fond memories of." You shudder at the thought.

"It could get worse. You could get more things that will set you off over time and end up like Aunt Josephine from A Series of Unfortunate Events."

You glance at him sceptically.

"Maybe not that bad." He admits.

"I'll see someone about it if it gets worse." You promise. "But for now let's just see how it goes." You sit down next to Law at the counter with your cup of tea and can finally relax.

You both sit in silence while you drink your tea.

"Imagine If I'd had to explain that to mum." You laugh. "I wouldn't even know where to start and she would probably end up blaming the game."

"On that subject where is your mother?" Law inquires.

"She went for a jog with her friend." You reply. "She should be back any minute now."

"Cool."

Silence falls over once again.

"Actually not cool." You say.

"What?"

"Really not cool."

Law looks at you quizzically.

"She doesn't know that you exist, let alone that I'm dating you."

"Well that's not offensive at all."
